Third, Mongo's job is a FB, which is primarily to block. And it was irritating to see him getting all the extra carries and my guy not getting squat. With only 3 "backs" on the team who are active, there is no reason to have Tatupu on the depth chart when he's never around and there is no reason to not be spreading the back-up carries out. Particularly when my guy seems to break between 1 and 3 tackles each carry.
So its irritating seeing Mongo getting the extra carries, and its somehow better for a worse runningback to get them instead? Either way those carries aren't yours. Your job is ALSO as a fullback, which is primarily to block and as much as I'm sure you'd love to be the starting fullback and the back up running back, any play where Sammy Maroney is out that has a fullback in the formation you will STILL be the FB. There is no way to prioritize it the other way around. So unless you want to get benched, there is no point in arguing over runningback carries.
Fourth, before you post next time, please read all the messages on a topic before throwing in your two cents instead of just the last one.
I did. The general theme was you whining, getting shown up,conceding everything you were wrong about and then still whining. Nowhere in that whiny mess did you ever explain that your real reason for having a temper tantrum was that you wanted more carries, which is easily fixable using the gameplanning sliders I believe. You DO have a good fullback and I think it would be effective to give your guy more carries, but frankly this has nothing to do with who is getting the backup carries at runningback.
And lastly, the game is ever changing. Its ignorant to think that just because injuries aren't an issue now, that they won't be an issue at some point. They could get implemented in the next week for all we know. So, while the "running game is good" I'd rather make it better and have the pieces in place to be prepared for changes rather than have to scramble at the last minute and bring in an inferior back-up that hurts the team.
Bort and DD have been very upfront about what is currently being worked on and what isn't. Right now they are working on more advanced tactics for offense and defense. They have come out and said that injuries are lower on their list of priorities. I can guarantee they won't be implemented in a week, I'm almost certain they won't be implemented in this season, but if you want to make another runningback for depth, I'm all for it.
