Sweet! Now they can fit bigger speakers to pipe the noise in. This is outstanding! ^_^

Lucas Oil? Is that how they can keep the thermostat set to ensure a balmy 96 degrees at game time?

Thanks for noticing CarlinaColtFan, your posts are award winners, the mensa candidate that you are; I'll compare brainpans with you anytime, anyplace ok chief?

I find your comments laughable, this from someone who came here under the "Just wanted to say hello and I am not here to trash your threads" standard troll line of crap; odd as all you have done here is trash threads.

Something about glass houses comes to mind whenever I see any of the mindless nonsense we get from you around here................

Actually i have been setting steel at this stadium for over a year now and yes it is totally closed in when the roof is shut and window wall closed. We also will have 4 of the largest HD video scoreboards in the league even bigger than the dallas stadium. I cant remeber the size i know it was ungodly. They also have enough lcd ribbon screens to surround the whole stadium that should look good. I dont know how many of you know about rebar size but they were putting number 18 in everything. This stadium will be a pain if they ever have to tear it down number 18 is like as big around as a baseball. And they were in lengths of 80 ft or better.

yeah, well, you will also notice that you have had something infantile and moronic to say about everything I post, including my second one. The only threads that I've trashed are the ones you follow up with some lame brain frozen knuckle headed reponse the you've posted.....ok 'chief'?

Consider yourself ignored douchebag; have a nice life.

You sure about that...? Dallas' new HD screens are going to be 60 yards long. That is not a typo - 60 yards. They will stretch from one 20 to the next on the scoreboard hanging down over the field. I follow a lot of news on new stadium constructions and I ain't seen nothing indicating Indy's screens are going to be that big.

I read something recently about the contract for the audio/video system, I knew it was high tech, but wasnt sure about size, I just remember its going to be HD which is way better than the jumbo tron. 60 yards? that seems like it would be a distraction.

Are you guys getting new unis too? Curious about the helmet next to your user name. Looks pretty cool.

new stadium looks nice. They really should "lose" the finalist banner in the move though. And for the Colts fans sake, hopefully they wont put the logo on the roof. That looks cheap, and will be the only cheap looking thing in/on the stadium unless they keep the finalist banner

I think the Colts screens will be 97 feet wide. So just over 30 yards wide.

I thought we had the biggest because i know they just got them like 2 weeks ago and upgraded the size a bit thats why they payed 10 million for them. Maybe there is a difference in the jumbotrons and HD video monitors not sure. I know dallas has a 4 sided jumbotron and yes it is huge the colts opted for HD video monitors.

Most importantly, are they bringing the AFC Finalist banner with them to hang again?

I hope they take it and burn it instead of hanging it again, that has to be the stupidest thing ever, I bet the Pats didn't hang an AFC finalist banner from last year in Gillette..

Good luck with that... it will mean a ton of money for the city. But - and I don't want to sound mean - I just can't see people being super pshyched about goint to Indy to see a Super Bowl.

I am one of those people that think it should be held in select, warm weather cities. New Orleans is great, Miami, the Rose Bowl and a couple of others. IMO, It just makes the whole experience better.

I have to agree with you on this, the Superbowl is a 2 week event and not too many people would be very thrilled being in Indy when its probably going to be very cold and snowing the entire time. Most people like the warm weather cities and I don't blame them one bit.

That stadium looks like one big toilet. Are they going to put in extra speakers for pumped in crowd noise?:)

I think they went all out this year and bought the best sound system, it will have double the speakers of the RCA Gym. :)

Here is Lucas Oil

Here Conseco Fieldhouse, just up the road, walking distance from Lucas Oil in downtown Indy

Here's Hinkle Fieldhouse at Butler University

So Hinkle begat Conseco begat Lucas Oil

Conseco was voted the number one arena for Basketball a few years go, I remember going to Pacer games in Market Square and had no leg room at and the concourses were so small, then they buil conseco and it was like heaven compared to MSA, tons of leg room really wide concourses, it just totally blew me away when I went to my first game in the new stadium, I hope LOS is just as impressive.

Sorry this one was me! I thought it was a joke. I thought most Colt fans were embarassed about the AFC Finalist banner.

I am, I hope they burn the stupid thing..:)

indycolts685=lucid, even handed, non homer Colts fan, wish there were ten more like him on this forum to represent the Colts.

He is the exact opposite of most Colt fans I have spoken with/run into; post on my man...............
