PATRIOTS TRAINING CAMP 2026 Patriots Training Camp Day 4

Can you show me that? I think you are back to the point I was making, it’s all unfounded media speculation. But if you can show me where he said that I’d have a different opinion

He didn't show to camp and followed it up by posting a cryptic message on social media.

No one said he demanded a trade, but this was an "indication" he wanted to be traded at the time. At minimum he was fueling the media speculation.

Hahahaha your evidence is he posted eyes on social media.
I think we are done here thanks for the laugh.

In late July, Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated, a prominent NFL insider who frequently covers the Patriots, stated that the organization is trying "to do right by" Boutte by finding him a new home where he can secure a larger role. Breer reported that the Patriots would have accepted a fifth-round draft pickfor Boutte during the 2026 NFL Draft, though no offers materialized at that time.

Similarly, Mike Reiss of ESPN, noted that Boutte’s absence from voluntary offseason workouts coincided with reports that the player was available.

I thought it was just some posters speculating?
As I said it’s all speculation.
And all fake news.

Your're welcome.

I understand how things go over your head.
Yeah posting eyes on social media is clearly proof of whatever you want it to mean

People are putting way too much of what happens in training camp. Hell, they haven’t even had a full pads practice yet. Yes, Boutte has looked really good and AJ Brown can’t get on the same page with Drake Maye yet. It really means very little at this point.

I remember discussions about cutting Randy Moss in 2007 when he had a bad camp before getting injured. And I can kill Ian in badwidth fees with all the players who looked like superstars in camp and preseason who did nothing in the regular season and many not even making the roster.

It is a positive that Boutte looks so good so far, but pump the breaks.

I saw that Felger and Mazz did a segment on whether we should be concerned about AJ Brown since he can’t get on the same page with Maye. My response is why are you wasting our time with such a ridiculous segment? I am not the slightest bit concerned in the first week of camp.

Need to see it more in real games
Agreed. Guy's can look like all pros in shells. Thursday things get real the pads come on now we will see what's really going on. Then the joint practices will really tell us alot as well.

I always thought we should keep Boutte. Y'all saw some of those plays he made to get us to the big game. It takes two to tango and he helped get it done with our superstar QB.
Boutte is going to remain here this season IMO... he's too valuable to the offense..he'll play himself into a nice contract somewhere.. also be mindful that the mere presence of AJ will have alot to do with him having favorable matchups this year. This is the best thing for the team.. it allows K. Williams another season to continue developing, R. Doubs time as well as AJ to continue building his Repore with Drake. Every WR we currently have all has different traits.

It's not like we're talking about a sixth round pick looking good. Boutte is an NFL player, and at the point of his career where WRs often come into their own.

Nobody's saying this is a breakout year yet or that it can't turn around resulting in a trade or demotion.

But from where he was a month ago it's a legitimate development so far.

A previous post insinuated that Kraft was disrespectful to Gonzo by discussing the negotiation.
I saw some media idiot suggest that in a post on FB too. It was crazy then, it’s still crazy. People just trying to create controversy.

from Lazar;

- Barring injury, it would be surprising if the Patriots O-Line to start the season wasn't LT Will Campbell, LG Alijah Vera-Tucker, C Jared Wilson, RG Mike Onwenu, and RT Morgan Moses. First-rounder Caleb Lomu appears to be on the Nate Solder rookie plan, where he's the top swing tackle and eligible tackle in six OL packages.

Agreed.

- Second-year pro Marcus Bryant and sixth-year pro James Hudson are in an early camp battle to be the fourth OT, with rookie Dametrious Crownover still taking third-team reps. We've seen both Bryant and Hudson take some reps that allow Lomu to keep working as the jumbo tight end or get his full string of reps with the second unit. On the interior, the Pats are cross-training G/Cs Ben Brown and Andrew Rupcich, with Rupcich as a dark-horse roster candidate.

Hudson & Rupcich both Suck. They are simply Not 53-man talents at this stage of their careers, if they ever really were, especially Rupcich, who's been - for no real reason - a little Pet of Vrabel's for a few years now.

I want my backups to be Bryant - Lomu - Brown - Wallace - Crownover. Not a fan of either Jellybean or Cavedin, but they're still a damn sight better than the other two. And unless he completely ****s the bed throughout TC, Crownover might not make it through waivers to be signed to the PS...

Thank you!! We heard this refrain in the Brady days too, “the #2 QB doesn’t matter because we’re not going anywhere without him.” As if the only options are your #1 playing every game or not at all.

Most injuries are NOT season ending, and it definitely matters who’s holding down the fort.

So how do we feel about Tommy Buckets as #2? Not feeling the warm & fuzzies about it so far...

Marcelus Dial, prunty bigger CBs would be in line should lost in the woods be hurt.

Prunty's making the team if for no other reason than his draft status. I wouldn't give you even a conditional 7th-round draft pick, in 2029, for the rest of them, however, including the backup Safeties.
