DRAFT DAY DISCUSSION 2026 NFL Draft: Day 1

Was Ty Simpson worth the #2 overall pick though? I haven't paid attention to early QB prospects simply because we don't need one.
The 2027 draft has a bunch of better QBs. I assume the JETs are planning another high pick in 2027 and go for a QB. Not a bad strategy getting the QB in Y2 of their rebuild.

I am surprised but I think there are some Edge rushers , WR's and TE's that could help the Patriots. Edges like Cashius Howell, Zion Young or T Parker probably won't fall to #63 but could they fall enough so the Pats could afford to trade up a few spots to get one.

I'm in the same boat, there is enough good Edges left that we should be able to land one in rd 2 or 3, prefer rd 2.
The question is how our staff have these guys rated.
Do they have Parker/Young/Howell rated that much higher than Jacas/DDS?
Is 63 too high for DDS (I don't think it is)?
I would leave TE to rd 3/4.

Must admit that I lost some respect for McVey when he laughed at our pick (no matter how bad it turned out to be).
It's all right, the whole world is laughing at them wasting their first round pick when they finally use one.

Because it's grammatically correct and not for the reason you're insinuating.

And even if it was who gives a ****. That's what you want to discuss today?
We need something new to fight about. Vrabel is skipping town, those threads will die down. This will have to suffice.

63+125=58ish

We can't afford to trade 95. Howell, Young, and Parker are not falling to 58. But there are still other options.

The Rams picking Ty Simpson at #13 is being called the worst pick in the draft (for value). Karma can be funny. We all remember McVay's fun jabs at the Patriots for drafting Cole Strange.

Now he's getting roasted for his pick and then acting all Belichickian at his press conference after the pick.

Don't worry Seanie - we're all laughing now too.
