He will be groomed to replace Moses. Campbell is not moving to G after they signed AVT. If Moses gets injured then he is there. Next year he is starting RT with versatility
I was thinking more about Campbell replacing Onwenu who is massively overpaid and has endless weight issues and is in the last year of his deal.

25m cap hit this year.

Some money is going to have to give if the Gonzalez contract gets done.

Just the vibe I'm getting from you lol.

Personally think it's the right move

He's lacks functional strength right now.

I would have taken EDGE for sure but I don’t hate the Lomu pick at all. My only question is how he will be used this year and how Campbell fits into the picture.

I’m glad they moved up, but I kind of wish they had done that sooner considering they had to give up two other picks to do it…
The next tackle to get was picked 7 picks higher. Would have cost a lot more and doubtful Pittsburgh is trading out when they are hosting. So you are likely having to cover 10 picks in the first round to be safe.

Jets with new TE and new WR. Going to be tough with Geno as QB though.

Seems like a panic pick with the trade up. They came into it determined to take a tackle. I don’t know anything about the guy but he seems a bit undersized

He’s very young with upside - only a 3 year sophomore. Don’t mind shooting for that in this draft. Gets a year to learn behind Moses and Campbell as the swing tackle, build his strength, and gives us possible flexibility to move Campbell inside next year if he struggles again - or hopefully just to replace Moses. Tackles don’t grow on trees. You aren’t getting a good one in free agency or outside the top 25 picks normally.

Walter Football on Lomu:

New England Patriots: Caleb Lomu, OT, Utah –
A Grade

We’ve seen some sketchy trade-ups, but this was a great one. Caleb Lomu was the final tackle available in the first round, and he easily could have gone to the 49ers or Chiefs. Drake Maye was sacked at least five times in every single playoff game, so New England had to obtain someone like Lomu.

At least we now have our backup LT.

I hate to see the Jets get both Sadiq and Cooper. Good players. Thoughts and prayers for them.

6'6 and 313 is not undersized.. Come on Manx..
Yeah he's not undersized. His size is actually the biggest thing he has going for him and he can probably gain some weight on top of it.

Sucks we're go to see Sadiq and Cooper for a while.

I also don’t know if this was a panic pick. Phil Perry was laying some breadcrumbs earlier, but I’m sure all the inside info will come out.
