Any issues he may or may not have with Belichick are personal and in-house. But this disrespect would hit him at his core, saying that his coach that he respected so much on the job isn’t good enough for the HOF. I think you’re wrong, he cares about the Patriots most, and he knows there’s no Patriots without Belichick.

That was a BS story that Tom Jackson started. There was no truth to that. Also, Vrabel and BB still have a good relationship. Just because Vrabel wants his own identity and dies not want to be known for the BB dynasty, does not mean he doesn’t care for Bill.

When he was coaching the team, we all loved the way he dealt with the media, so many in here loved it, called the media scum etc but now suddenly he should bow down to them . At least during Deflategate, he stuck up and by Brady. What did Kraft do ? He threw him to the wolves and wouldn’t fight for his star QB. How quickly some of us forget. I remember Bills press conference when he tried to explain the law of gas and his iconic line from ‘my cousin Vinny’ !!!! Bill will always be someone I stick up for. Without him we wouldn’t have been so lucky for so long !!!

I think he lost a lot of people and credibility with the Butler SB situation.

It showed he was willing to put personal BS over team winning which is supposed to be the opposite of his message.

Never getting a real answer or resolution to that was a really bad taste. How it all ended in NE also didn't help his case I suppose.

I still like BB but I certainly don't feel how I did 10 years ago.. But still the best coach ever imo.

I'm not looking to relitigate this, but the sentiment at the time was that all the heat was on Belichick at the start of Deflategate and he went up in his press conference and said "go talk to Tom" and put all the spotlight on him.

Kraft meanwhile said he disagreed with the investigation and said it was unfair. He just didn't sue the league in a futile effort because he already said he would respect the investigation.

Also it's been widely reported that Brady's camp was pissed at how Bill handled that.

Some folks here have suggested he’d be petty in his speech. I don’t like the guy but I don’t believe he would. Too much reverence for the hall and history of the game.

I AM still fascinated to see if Kraft makes it. Stories will write themselves.

But the NFL placed a gag order on the Patriots/Kraft/Belichick, while BSPN came out with new bogus stories on a daily basis, every one attempting to outdo the last story, hitting the peak with Tomase's fabricated column.

Problem is that most sports fans outside of New England heard all those lies, and believed them because they came from 'trusted' sources - the various personalities on BSPN, NFLN, etc.

Ask the average American sports fan about spygate, and they will tell you that the Patriots were caught filming the Rams walk-through and other team's practices.

I think most NFL fans outside if New England were just happy the the Pats were being brought back to the pack.

They didn’t care if it was true or not, but it gave them an excuse to cling to for why their own teams failed.

It was because the Pats cheated!

Otherwise THEIR teams would have dominated.

I don’t care about his personal life, that is his business and it isn’t for me to judge. I do not believe owners are more responsible for the success than a coach and players. Kraft has pissed me off with his treatment of Bill and that hatchet job of that documentary.
I wasn’t happy that Brady left like that but there is more to the story than we know. And Kraft willingly let Brady go but it seems Bill gets more of the hate than old Bob !!!
Anyway , keeping him out of the HOF is pathetic and childish and vindictive!!!
