Like it's not even close. If Bill was not known as adversarial with the media and journalists, we wouldn't even be talking about Spygate or any other possible reasons why they would do this to him. They'd just say "meh it's Bill Belichick, why are we debating". It's like I said, a last chance to get a pound of flesh while they still can before he's beyond their reach forever.I don’t think people hate Brady like they hate Belichick. Even some of Brady’s haters came around after he left NE.
Never underestimate the self interest and pettiness of grown and successful menThe amount of pettiness in this damn league is stunning. People hold on to grudges to get back at someone during the Hall of Fame vote.
Oh it’s 100% ******** and he should be first ballotThen their reasoning is BS. Can't have it both ways.
Taping the Rams' walkthrough? That was debunked years ago.Seriously? Not exactly hard to find or recall.
I hear you but it’s never been an objective process. There are guys IN the Hall who shouldn’t be because someone politicked for themThen their reasoning is BS. Can't have it both ways.
You mean the alleged videotaping of the Rams' walkthrough prior to Super Bowl XXXVI that has long since been disproven with the Boston Herald that published the allegations forced to issue an apology?Seriously? Not exactly hard to find or recall.
"The Boston Herald retracted its 2008 report claiming the New England Patriots taped the St. Louis Rams' Super Bowl XXXVI walkthrough, admitting the story was false and no such tape existed. The paper issued a front-page apology in May 2008, acknowledging the report was based on inaccurate sources. "Seriously? Not exactly hard to find or recall.
It's ok but can't hold a candle to Cooperstown or the Basketball HOF. Canton comes off as dated.I always planned on visiting Canton someday.
**** it
What the hell are you talking about.STFU. You don't like BB, we get it but just STFU.
You piss me off so you must be the problem. What the hell are you talking about.
You are case in point of a Pats fan that can't take facts for what they are.
I do like BB as a coach, he is the best ever.
But I'm not blind, I watched him coach his whole time here and before that.
He pissed people off, if you can't admit that there is no help for you.
Very true.Taping the Rams' walkthrough? That was debunked years ago.
A big thing is some league higher ups felt like Bill skated on Spygate. Deflategate was also reported to be a "this is our chance to get back at the Pats for Spygate" then Bill passed the buck to Brady and they got stuck in a circus. There was also an element where the league's conduct policy lost it's teeth if Brady won his lawsuit so they had to fight it.The league fought for Deflategate and the Colts were front and center for that charge. If you think the HOF voters don’t believe in deflategate, you’ve proven you haven’t been paying attention.
The difference is they don’t like Bill, so they claim cheating. They like Brady, so they don’t care that he cheated.
NY media and fans in general hate BradyThe league fought for Deflategate and the Colts were front and center for that charge. If you think the HOF voters don’t believe in deflategate, you’ve proven you haven’t been paying attention.
The difference is they don’t like Bill, so they claim cheating. They like Brady, so they don’t care that he cheated.
There is nothing consistent in anything to do with the NFL. They still don’t know what a catch is, I’d bet Brady gets in first ballot. Then their reasoning is BS. Can't have it both ways.
That's because Barry's steroid induced head is the size of Jupiter. Serious fans know the accusations were BS. Football writers and Douchecanoe Polian should know much better. Also, I'm tired of the BS narrative of Bill's relationship with the media. Ask a stupid question get a stupid answer. Ask a half interesting question and Bill would spend 45 minutes dissecting the history of what happened and what it could mean in future scenarios. Bill's mantra was play stupid games win stupid prizes and I will always respect him for that.Fair. But let’s not pretend Bill didn’t also have some ugly cheating accusations more than once that a lot of folks hold against him. Barry Bonds isn’t in the MLB HOF….which is asinine, but lots of folks hold PED’s against him.
He admitted to taping signals from an improper location and then also admitted filming Jets signals years later after being warned not to. Capital offense? No."The Boston Herald retracted its 2008 report claiming the New England Patriots taped the St. Louis Rams' Super Bowl XXXVI walkthrough, admitting the story was false and no such tape existed. The paper issued a front-page apology in May 2008, acknowledging the report was based on inaccurate sources. "
Yea, seriously. I'm asking you to back up the stuff you claim. Thanks
