How about Mcdaniels digging back into the playbook and running the direct snap with ,Maye pretending that ball went over his head?

The snap was almost not caught too. Then the Flea flicker. Lots of razzle dazzle in the cold.
He called that one too soon, it’s supposed to be a Super Bowl two-point conversion play! Kevin Faulk in 38, James White in 51.

Can't take you seriously, man, when you dial up posts like this.
Right? Josh has his not-so-great moments but we wouldn’t be here without him. The offense sure as hell wouldn’t have flipped from bottom to the barrel to top tier.

I see people clowning on media types for pointing out how weak our schedule has been, it's true. Our regular season schedule was very weak.

We have played 3 really tough defenses in the playoffs, but in reality those 3 teams had severe issues and honestly was not super difficult because of the lack of offense those teams provided.

Our defense had a lot to do with those offenses not performing well, this is true along with the weak schedule. People are acting like its one or the other. Both things are true, the Pats have had a charmed season based on the matchups they have faced. The Pats are also a very good football team. Again both things can be and are true.

Pats fans, when someone points out one thing it does not take away from the other. Please stop getting panties in a twist if someone points out how easy the path to the SB has been. It makes you look like you don't understand football. All my non Patriot friends keep telling me how easy the path has been and I tell them they are right, but it does not take away from how good the team actually is. This team takes advantage of bad football and not all teams are capable of that.
What I can never understand is people who never account for how teams change tactics based on game situation.

You're up one score, the opposing team can't exploit your defense at all, so you ratchet down the level of risk on offense.

Or, as in the Texans game, you're up two scores, the offense keeps stalling because you keep running and can't convert 3rd downs, but EVERY time Houston comes within a score, what happens? You have 3 long drives downfield and each of them ends with a TD pass to put you up again.

People think you can take the 3 points Payton didn't try for and just tack them onto the score, then subsequently erase Stidham's fumble, and Denver wins 10-3.

But football never works that way and I don't know why fans can't take that into account.

Facts. He accounts anywhere from 30%-70% of total game yardage in any given week.

Total yardage of the Seahawks to this point - 5973
Total yardage of JSN to this point - 1829 (1793 receiving, 36 rushing)

That is ~32% of their total offense through one player. Sometimes Darnold will have 150 yards passing, 124 of which were to JSN, first game they lost to SF.

I do think regardless of what coverage we sick on JSN, he will still eat a little. It's gonna be a Julio Jones kinda plan, where he's gonna find the unfindable. Our secondary might be the best in the league at forgetting about a bad snap and manning up immediately thereafter.

The more I think about this matchup, the more I feel like our defense is a great matchup. It's gonna be a fun watch. If both teams bring their A-game, it'll be a FIGHT.
We are going to stop their running game and then we'll be asking ourselves, who is the 6th DB out there, Woods or Austin?

I've always hated that play.

lol at New York... never ever thought I'd see them take on an inferior complex towards us.

This made me laugh so hard; oh my god. The comments on the original tweet from the ESB acct are hilarious

Check this one out:

1st of all, this shows Maye getting the first down clearly.
But the ref for some reason didn't throw a flag on a clear penalty.

From 1981 - 1992, the Pats were considered one of the worst franchises in the league. A "Laughing Stock" if you will. Fans of other teams said that the Pats lucked out in 85 & 86. Especially in 85 with how the Bears trounced them. The Pats had 7 losing seasons in that time span, including a 1 win season and a 2 win season.

Then there were the draft woes with the likes of Kenneth Sims, Trevor Matich, Reggie Dupard, Hart Lee Dykes and Eugene Chung. Not to mention the trade gaffes..
“One yard” Reggie Dupard

Gawd was he a terrible RB.

He clearly saw something during the game that made him think it would work. The not telling everyone sold it to the Defense and caught them flat-footed. My only wish was that he'd gone down in bounds as soon as he got passed the marker so the clock would have kept running.
It didn’t matter, we went to victory formation

Jesus he’s been god awful in the playoffs. Rookie or not, awful.
I think it's time to end the campaign against Campbell at LT. Nic Bonito did SQUAT yesterday, never heard his name except when Will missed the chop block in the 1st quarter. Bonito's been dominating games left and right, and Campbell silenced him.

You play a game once. Everything you do matters. Pretending you could take away or change a play is ridiculous. If you change one then I get to change another. It’s all just bs. 2 teams go out on the field with one purpose, to win. One wins, one loses. All the billions of variations that you could make are irrelevant. The game is played and there are no do overs.

The disrespect and contempt being shown to the patriots is at the highest level for a SB team that I can remember in years.
I'm trying hard to remember a SB team in the past 25 years that has been downplayed and dissed as much as this team.
Perhaps the 2007 Giants who beat the Pats?

I expected this and fully expect the Seahawks will be overconfident heading into the game.

Hopefully the Vrabel can use this to fuel their focus and effort

Funny you say that because as bad a memory as that game is…if that Giants team could beat that Patriots team, we can beat the ****ing Seahawks

It says 3.1 ypc for his 3 years in New England.

That seems high to me.
Yeah that was his nickname because he was a “3yds and a cloud of dust” type back who never made a play.
