The 76 Pats were the best team in the league and got robbed by Ben Dreith.

Having SB teams in 6 decades means that the Pats were never the laughingstock that some here claim.
From 1981 - 1992, the Pats were considered one of the worst franchises in the league. A "Laughing Stock" if you will. Fans of other teams said that the Pats lucked out in 85 & 86. Especially in 85 with how the Bears trounced them. The Pats had 7 losing seasons in that time span, including a 1 win season and a 2 win season.

Then there were the draft woes with the likes of Kenneth Sims, Trevor Matich, Reggie Dupard, Hart Lee Dykes and Eugene Chung. Not to mention the trade gaffes..

I thought Berringer had a horrible game that started badly and then got worse. I can understand how the conditions affected the results, but as you pointed out, the Denver punter, was consistently excellent throughout the game. Berringer's kicking gave us poor field position most of the game and Denver seemingly just one or two first downs away from FG territory almost all game.
This is probably Monday morning quarterbacking, but I agree about Berringer. In that type of weather I was convinced that no one should attempt to field punts....and that should have given Barringer more freedom to kick it for distance......

But I suppose if he out-kicked his coverage and Denver returned a long one we'd all be second guessing saying "You're defense is killing it, why do anything on offense or special teams that could expose you to a big play for Denver?"

So I guess there is 'that' too.

All in all, they played it right and got it done.

I think a mix is ideal that way you keep the QBs guessing. But from what I've noticed with our defense, when we give up big pass plays, it always seems to be when we are in zone and there's a blown coverage.
I agree. So mix it up a bit but I would prefer 70% man and 30% zone. The zone heavy use in the first half probably was to keep Stidham from running and to make him throw, but, as you state, our big play mistakes seem to always be when we are in zone.

We need to blitz Darnold more too like we did with Herbert and Stroud.

Ah, yeah, it's Baringer not Berringer like Derringer the gun though I wouldn't if someone shot the misspellings.

That 9 and a half minute drive was absolutely critical. It took the wind out of Denver’s D and gave the Pats D time to rest. That drive to me was a back breaker because after that the Pats D was totally dominant.
That was the game. The Pats D got to rest all the way from the end of the first half until 2/3 of the way through the third quarter.

I'd love it if someone used AI and show where the lines on the field were to show that the tipped field goal by Taylor was actually held at the correct spot and that Taylor just made a Helluva play..

A caller on 98.5 said that Steve Belichick and David Andrews were on the Broncos sidelines yesterday for the game. I know Andrews is a good friend of Stidham..but thats a tough look imo. Friends are good for the offseason.

Pure excuse making. **** kick that got blocked.

Agreed, and Stidham went ice cold at that point

Let’s be honest. Seahawks are 4.5 favourites cause everyone sees our offence as weak. What is this team gonna do about that.

#Warriors

Here is an image of the FG attempt that got blocked

There are 5 players with SB experience on the roster.

The two obvious:

Milton Williams
Carlton Davis

But there is also

Christian Eliss
Mack Hollins
Austin Hooper
Oh, I didn't know Hooper played in one.

Thanks for replying and not making me feel stupid.

The 26 yard punt from the 7 late - jeez. Handed them 10 yards of field position every punt. Someone said we did not want to kick to Mims. Not kicking to Jones didn’t bother the Broncos’ punter
