I logged on this morning expecting to read all about the amazing feat of the Patriots going to a record 12th Superbowl and one of the top threads is suck it Buffalo. With....18 pages? Wth?!?! How, there can't be that much to talk about? Scrolling thru the first couple pages ohhh green is back and **** posting that explains everything. Time to piss Novel guy off.
Now to be fair one of ours started the post and I would like to be slightly classier then that. Don't get me wrong I love me some decent clever smack talk, think more of a roast then you suck, no you suck which this has devolved into. However I can't fault or want heifer banned because clearly this is what a large portion of the board wants because they keep responding to it.
I'm not going to respond to every point because I have better things to do then argue with an idiot who clearly only looks at stat lines and doesn't actually watch or understand the game. Yes from a stat perspective Drake "Drake Maye" Maye has not done well this post season. He hasn't come close to his regular season every game of 22/27 for 250 yards 2 TDs no picks that should win him MVP.
From that perspective he has "sucked". Now let's dive into it a little more for anyone with a brain cell. He was going against 3 top 5 defenses, never been done before. I would think a fan in Buffalo would know cold, wet, windy favors the defense. We've seen it year after year a super hot offense would come into Foxboro and get shut the hell down. The bigger deal for Drake is he has still made the one to two plays at the biggest moments that make you go wow! TD to Boutte, 6 first downs with his legs yesterday when yards and points were at an absolute premium.
Have they been fortunate? Sure Payton was a dumb ass for not taking the points yesterday but if you look at EVERY single SB champion you can point to the exact same thing at least 4 or 20 times in their run. Doesn't mean at the end of the day next year every game on the broadcast will have "going against the Superbowl champs" "last year when they won the Superbowl" "when Maye won the MVP in the bowl".
Point is livestock, nothing you have brought up makes a damn bit of difference to the fact we are in the Superbowl and your team is not. We took advantage of our opportunity and your team did not. Our team is better then yours and the regular season record proves it decisively. Not to mention our future looks the brightest of any team in the NFL and that must be giving you night sweats. Can you imagine if they add another off-season as good as this one to the roster? AFC championship trips at a min for the next 5 years while your window has slammed shut.
