We could just make a 2nd GDT and block the nancies. Maybe three of us sign up to be the booters so two are always available. We'd need some rules - it can't be all rainbows and unicorns. If the team or a player is playing a ****ty game let's have a contextual conversation. We could call it the EA-GDT. Educated Adult. Or, and I like this better. This could be the GDT and the take all comers could be the GDC - Game Day Cesspool.
Here is a suggestion to the Nancies.

If you are posting something negative to blow off steam, how about just doing it in the privacy of your own home?

If it doesn’t add anything constructive to the conversation then MAYBE don’t inflict it on others in the chat.

“Drake Maye sucks!

This game is over!!!”

Is an example of a stupid take that other posters can be spared of having inflicted on them.

I thought Berringer had a horrible game that started badly and then got worse. I can understand how the conditions affected the results, but as you pointed out, the Denver punter, was consistently excellent throughout the game. Berringer's kicking gave us poor field position most of the game and Denver seemingly just one or two first downs away from FG territory almost all game.
God, I hate the whining after a big win. Just saying. My whining, which I hate, would be all the misspellings of players' names. Atrocious, worse than the punting by far.

Given Drake's statline it feels unfair in some ways but as some guy whose name I can't remember once said, it is what it is.
While I’m as concerned about the O as some posters, I seem to recall a guy talking about stats being for losers.

Reggie, from my village had once said “there’s first place, then there’s F all” (sounds better in French, but still….)

It's a bit annoying that 80% of the discussion of the morning TV and radio talk jocks is on how Sean Payton supposedly blew it, that Denver lost the game more than the Patriots won it. Hey, it was 4th and 1 and the D made the stop. Then the D was smothering the rest of the day.

This seems to be par for the course these days, always find a way to second guess the losing team and claim that they beat themselves.

I would never imagine back when Namath threw all over us and OJ ran wild and being so close in '76 would I guess that one day the Patroits would be in so many Super Bowls....was worth the journey with this team over all those years!

You are talking about people who were fine with the Pats having draconian punishments for minor or bogus offenses, inflicted on them because their own teams were unable to beat the Pars in the field.

Maybe it’s like PDS, Pats derangement syndrome?

Hollins being active vs Chism is a trade off I am good with, and I like Chism.
100%, but Chism vs Pop???…,

I am on the fence but (mostly) trusting that the coaches who see both daily & know how they are attacking the next opponent have a better idea of who is best when wr is a limited resource.

Lutz had a bad day. Romo was correct when he said that the TV view did not really depict how bad it was on the field.

The Denver punter is a stud. I haven't seen punting that good in a long time.
Had to look him up. Drafted in 2025 I. 6th round. Aussie went to FL. Supposedly #1 rated punter this year. I thought was just cause of D air.

Thank god their P was great and K sukd. Other way around would have been trouble. .

Bottom line is that Payton was so full of himself, play sheet and his system that he could not see the forest through the trees.

Bragging how Stidham could start for 4 or 5 NFL teams. Stidham is a backup just like Mac Jones is a back up. Payton drafted Nix for a reason and Nix started year 1 for a reason. It seemed to me that Payton thought that he could call some of his magical plays and win with any QB. Just follow the system. At the start of the game Paytons plays did work. The Pats secondary was in disarray and gave up points. The Broncos moved the ball well and it really looked like another NE 5280 foot loss. Payton had a gimme FG, but he was drunk on his system and did not take the points in what would eventually be a dog fight. Stidham crashed when the other HC who knows defense made adjustments.

How many times have you seen it? The HC so fixated on his playsheet that the game management suffers. That is what happened yesterday to the Broncos IMO. I would rather have a HC who delegates responsibility so that he can manage all aspects of the game torpedoes be dammed.

Yeah. I read in another story that AFC is.

Only good thing we get uniform choice. Coin toss choice done us **** all year.
White on White?

It's incredible watching how much time Darnold and Stafford have to throw. Campbell sucks so ****ing bad that Mayes blind side gets caved in in 1.5 seconds.
I think Campbell is still recovering from his injury and will be helped with a couple of weeks off.

I was crushed by that loss. I had no doubts the Pats would’ve beaten the Vikes in SB XI.
The 76 Pats were the best team in the league and got robbed by Ben Dreith.

Having SB teams in 6 decades means that the Pats were never the laughingstock that some here claim.

It was the same in 2001. The snow stopped the Raiders, it was a fumble, Kordell isn’t a good QB, special teams failed the Steelers, the Rams receivers were getting mauled all game, there should’ve been time left on the clock after Vinatieri’s FG, the NFL wanted the Pats to win because of 9/11, etc. etc. Excuses after excuses after excuses, instead of just admitting that the Pats were better than they all thought. I say **** em all and let them continue to get frustrated and confused by the Pats’ success. We all we got, we all we need.

The best thing Vrabel/Khur did yesterday was when it started snowing they went pre-dominantly man coverage instead of zone, and started attacking in 1st down to set up 2nd and long.
Pregame we kept talking about the altitude causing fatigue for visiting players unaccustomed to the oxygen levels. And there was a lot of speculation that this is part of what helped Denver achieve many of its 4th quarter home comebacks this year and in past years.

Pats really did the best thing possible to counteract that yesterday:
- while they lost time of possession in the 1st half, they played predominantly zone coverage. The secondary was still fresh. They were then able to play man in the 2nd half without getting exhausted. And what really helped….
- the 9:30 second drive to start the 3rd quarter was huge. Pats completely dominated time of possession in the 2nd half 21:06 to 8:54. Defense wasn’t out there long enough to get exhausted, and keeping them fresh by how they played the first half helped allow the Pats to draw a lot of 3 and outs in the 2nd half.
