Could Buffalo be our First Opponent If we're the Second seed?? I would not want to face Josh Allen the most experienced QB in the AFC right off the bat. I feel the Chargers are resting Starters next week. I hate this new Playoffs format not giving the Team with the second best record a Bye.

I said personally that we benefited during championship runs of being the 2nd seed and having the bye week.. the owners all agreed to the 17 game schedule and playoff format.

It is possible, yes. If buffalo loses to the jets theyll be the 7 seed so we would face them if we are still the 2 seed in that scenario. Buffalo might be resting lots of players, but the jets are committed pretty hard to tanking. Much more than we were last year.

I still don’t see Buffalo losing to the jets. They will probably rest people but i feel like they aren’t going to throw the game like last year. Ending the season with 2 straight losses and zero momentum is risky. Besides, the Jets haven’t played a competitive game in over a month and they’ve played some pretty bad teams. I'd rather that scenario! as Houston gave us as gift beating LACs. So basically if Buffalo and LACs both win we draw the Chargers?? I was under the impression that LACs would be content with the seeding and bills would want to rest Allen??

Well if lac win and we win we get the bye.

Both teams are probably going to rest people and in that case lac will likely lose but i think buffalo will still beat the jets. Leaving them the 6 seed and lac as the 7 seed. So wed face lac if we beat Miami

Ah... got it.. so the more likely scenario is Buffalo beating Jete because they are gonna want to get that bad taste out thier mouth from that loss. I'd much rather see LACs.. not that they are a push over by any means.. if we see them.. I would like Vrabel to pull up that beat down from last season to motivate guys.. Drake should remember it well..

If Buffalo throws the game against the Jets they are playing with fire. Thinking they can just turn it on and turn it off anytime they want is a big mistake heading into the playoffs and it's a recipe for a quick exit. You have to beat the best teams each week, and thinking you can control your destiny by ****ing around is a really bad idea. A seriously pissed off Patriots team is not going to be one they want to face. If they throw the game against the Jets and lose to the Patriot McDermott should be fired.

The site I checked had the Chargers about twice as likely as Buffalo. Lots of situations where Buffalo gets 5th or 6th seed and doesn't play us in the first round.

Whoever we face rd 1 Vrabel can make a strong case to our players that the team chose to face us. Especially if its buffalo, the jets are so bad that you need to make a concerted effort to lose to them even if allen sits

There is very little chance the Bills lose this week.

It's the last game at Highmark.

Aaron Glenn does not want to cost the Jets a high draft pick.

So, San Diego is left with a choice.

1. Bills win, Chargers lose, we play Chargers.
2. Bills lose, Chargers lose, we play Bills
3. Bills lose, Chargers lose, Patriots lose, we play Chargers

If the Jets beat the Bills, there's a good chance the Titans or Cardinals sneak in and grab one of the top 2 QBs.

We saw how good Dante Moore of Oregon was the other night. He's going to go in the 1st 3 picks.

And since the Giants are not looking for a QB, that means the Jets must finish in the top 3. Heck, they could end up with Mendoza if the Raiders do something really dumb (like beat the Chiefs).

This is why the Jets have a huge incentive to lose this game.

Chargers-Broncos: Denver has huge incentive to win, it's at home, Chargers have little to gain by winning and are resting their QB. Chargers definitely losing that one.

Jets-Bills: Neither team has a huge incentive to win, but the game is in Buffalo, the Jets are a far worse team, and they have an incentive to tank. Jets definitely losing that one.
