She may be like many people, simply living paycheck to paycheck and missing that week could be financially draining. Or not.
I was really just referencing the logic of the person who texted. Not her. In other words, I was trying to imagine how the text could possibly be about a business dispute when it referenced the police. The McDonald stuff I added there as an example of people who bring everyday disputes to the police. I wasn't serious. I was just showing what a stretch in logic that would be.

You highlighted the phrase "criminal masterminds", which is quite literally a remark on their behavior. I'm not sure what else to draw from your post when you highlight "these people aren't criminal masterminds", then you say "You'd never know" then reference a man in prison for a decades long sex-trafficking operation and someone who is currently facing a litany of charges for similar acts and more.

The point being is the association of a criminal element to things. That is a remark on behavior.
I was answering someone who said these people are famous and know how to use burners.

So I gave examples of famous and rich people who were snagged by texts.

Your timeline is way off. Reported on the 16th, pressed charges on the 20th.
Incorrect. Pressed charges on the 23, not the 20th.

David Meier is a happy man today. Really busy making bank, first with Diggs and now Barmore.

If we're talking about a pay dispute, why would someone go to the police.

Is she like the people who call 911 because McDonald's put a pickle chip on their burger? She's college educated, so I'm not sure she would fall to that level of insanity.
If you have a pay dispute with a wealthy public figure who could lose multi millions of dollars if the public believes he is a bad guy, you go to the police with a fake story in order to get him to pay you. It literally happens all the time.

How do you know she is college educated, and what would that have do with anything. Do you think people learn morality in college? Do you think only uneducated people can see the opportunity for extortion and a money grab.

Would a college educated person take photos? Would they realize that if a professional athlete “smacked them in the face” then their only injury wouldn’t be “a little red spot on my chest”. Unless she made it up.

I still come back to the text that was sent to her.

You don't have to go to the police. It wasn't a big deal.

Someone explain what that means to me.

Go ahead and show that text because, according to the REPORT, the text came from CardiB and said NOTHING about the Police.

Incorrect. Pressed charges on the 23, not the 20th.

Translation. Diggs didn’t go for it and pay me after I threatened to go to the police so I am moving forward to gain leverage

What does "it's not a big deal" reference if not an incident?
It could mean anything. But, again, you still think that the message came from Diggs when the Report said it was from CardiB.

Go ahead and show that text because, according to the REPORT, the text came from CardiB and said NOTHING about the Police.
No. According to the police the chef didn’t know who it was from but thought it might have been from his girlfriend.

It also did say something about not going to the police.

Which begs the question if this wasn’t a shakedown he did the texter know she went to the police. The police didn’t tell anyone. So the chef had to have told Diggs or whoever sent the text she was going to go to the police if she didn’t get paid.

Now Barmore

As my British friends like to say

XXXXXXX' HELL!!!!

The Patriots are now in a bind. Are they going to say, "We support Barmore!" So dumb to put that statement out

It's crazy I don't see the same people who came at me for calling this dude a piece of **** giving that same energy to those declaring this nothing more than a false accusation money grab.

Keep in mind I simply said he was a piece of ****. Not that he did what he's being accused of.

Crazy but not surprising.
You just need to be persecuted, don't you?

Kraft dumped AB over some texts.

Sending some uncomplimentary texts and facing some fake charges is not grounds for interrupting a player's season.

Unless he plays for the Patriots, and Fraudell is the commissioner.

Part of the report was that Diggs did tell her to call the business manager.

He should have ended the discussion there.

Period.

Hopefully, he did.

.

Was Greg Hardy still active and playing after his (deserved) charges?

Diggs and Barmore? We’re going to be beat in the first round of the playoffs aren’t we?

Realistically speaking, this might be the thinnest "player violence" situation I've seen in the NFL yet. In almost every other scenario I can think of, there is an arrest, or some level of evidence - pictures of an injury, video of an altercation, witness testimony - SOMETHING. This is quite literally just one single person saying "many weeks ago, Diggs hurt me a bit, but it's all healed up by now, I didn't actually get any evidence of the injury and no one was around, and there's no video or photographic evidence of it either, also I want Diggs to pay me some money."

Any person, male or female, could make such a claim about any player in the entire league at any time. I hope the NFL realizes that it would set a very bad precedent to put Diggs on the Commissioner's Exempt List over such a claim, as it may create a bad situation in the future. Imagine a Super Bowl matchup, Bills vs. Seahawks - except uh oh, a random woman says Josh Allen choked her out 5 weeks ago. No evidence though. She happens to be a Seahawks fan but don't worry about that. Sorry Josh, you can't play in the Super Bowl, you're going on the CEL.

You can say a person would not do that as they could be facing charges for falsifying a police report, but at least as far as I am aware I don't think that is pursued all that often. Please let me know if I am wrong there, though. Either way, I hope my point gets across - with no evidence to go off of, it would be unwise for the NFL to punish the player at this time.
I think the NFL would have more trouble than it’s worth trying to lay down any punishment for this one as it stands.

Maybe but I don’t like the karma of this. Both could be innocent but this just sucks, period
Tell that karma to the Chiefs, never seemed to affect them.

I think the rest is just things we’ll have to sort out in the offseason. Both are in fluid situations for the long term anyways, with Barmore already having a very touch and go health situation.
