Looks like a shakedown to me! The Diggs brothers are having a day

AB is a cautionary tale for everyone.

And so is Irving Fryar. He got himself jailed years after he retired.

Part of it is, we're all getting older. Our way of living and coping when we were younger don't work anymore. We each have to grow, learn and change.

My observation is, for star NFL wide receivers, it's harder for them than most other people. I think Chris Carter was a good egg for proactively reaching out to help them. We look and feel like we can't be compassionate because of all they're being paid, but it's not about the money.

OT: I saw Just saw these at Target. They look good.
Oh yeah, Chris Carter. Laid an egg with all that Fall Guy BS.

Police reports are public record unless the court intervenes.
police reports are public record but respondents have 10 business days to RESPOND (not necessarily provide the requested material). the PD here did not have to provide this police report to the "public" but apparently the judge felt it was necessary to release the police report.
SOURCE: I was a public records officer for about 10 years.

No, definitely not, but it's believable that he lost his temper. He sounds like he's overextended...I'm not against seeing more than one girl but it shouldn't be a big deal to give his now former personal chef a severance package and move on.
Why is it believable that he lost his temper?
I know I would never hit a woman under any circumstances and I think most men feel the same way.
Why would you think Diggs doesn’t?
You seem to be assuming there was more than a professional relationship, again something with no proof.

The entire story could be made up as a money grab.
Why dies Diggs not deserve the benefit of doubt. Particularly when her entire report has zero proof on it.

Forgot to take photos

First thing anyone would do would be to gather evidence even if they were doing it to get a settlement.
And got smacked in the face but only injury was a little red mark on her chest.

Doesnt add up

You're talking about a court of law when you mention "innocent until proven guilty."

Employers like the Patriots and the NFL are a different story.
Of course you’re right

The court of public opinion and how private enterprises react are certainly a different story.

My point is that we shouldn’t just get the pitchforks out without having full knowledge of the facts.

Clauses invalidate any dead cap money if they decide to cut him based on this case.
Nor unless he is convicted. There are no clauses that forfeit your rights by being accused.

why? it could very easily be a man. I'd say around 50/50, based on population data. Also, no mention of "domestic" yet.
It’s been reported that it’s with his personal chef.
Personal chef would be a domestic worker.
Does that make it domestic violence?

Why are you doing this? He was tossed after threatening the children of the other woman, not the one who shook him down. But the one he contracted with and rebuffed him.
And did he get in trouble legally because of that? No, he didn't threaten any children. He showed his friends a picture of her and her children which he took from her public social media account to laugh at calling her a "broke single Mom". He wanted his goons to find dirt on her to make her story look weak. She's the one that came out of the woodwork after the initial woman accused him. Bill told AB to lay low and not engage with these women because of what happened next. The media ran with the headline "threatening" which forced the Pats to hand to release Brown because money was going to be guaranteed after week 2. Bob didn't want to risk paying Brown and him not play because of a possible suspension if it the women had a case. They didn't.

This seems “he said she said” with zero proof. It goes away is my guess. Also report filed two weeks after alleged incident…fishy.

This exactly.
We don't know what we don't know.
Trying to piece together facts and speculate on very limited information is pointless.
I don't know how anyone could make a case guilty or not right now, and I certainly won't.

He signed a 3 year deal.
Yes there is an out, but the team doesn't have to exercise that.
He's due 26.5 next year with an 8 million dead cap hit.
He is worth the 26.5.
You think he's asking for more than that? No way.

I think he absolutely is going to ask for more than 26 mil lol.

It also seems like Diggs and this chef was smashing each other

They sent the picture of her kids to her! His goons! They were threatening her.

The decision to toss him was not only the correct one, but the guy was clearly out of his frickin' mind.

Subsequent events should have convinced you of that already.

I feel like with Kraft, if there was a scintilla of possible truth to this they’s have cut him today. They’ve known about it for weeks.

Right

So far what we appear to have here is a financial dispute between Diggs and a personal chef he hired, with the chef stating he owed her money leading to the physical altercation.

I find it a little odd that a guy who got a $12 million signing bonus is trying to weasel out of a dinner tab and then having it go to these lengths. In this day and age people are willing to "doxx" people at the drop of a hat, so the prospect of say, someone "seeking a bigger tip from a millionaire or else" is probably something the NFL would consider... in fact they routinely counsel young players on avoiding those situations.

It will be interesting to see if the AG thinks they have enough evidence to pursue the case. I don't see the NFL taking action until after there's an investigation by law enforcement.

Who's they? AB sent the photo on a group text that she wasn't supposed to be on (according to AB). Regardless, making fun of someone is not a threat. And you didn't answer my question. Nothing legally happened to him.

Tyreek Hill has audio of him telling the mother of his child he'll give his son something to cry about after breaking his arm and that she should be afraid of him. Why didn't anything happen? Tell me which scenario is worse?

I already laid out a different guess as to what this is all about.

Nowhere in the story does it say he disputed money owed at all.

The story seems to imply it's because she returned to his house earlier than he wanted her to come back.
