Diggs wasn't going to be here next year at those numbers anyway.

You're giving him a raise?

If he's here then I'll say I was wrong. But for now I'm comfortable with my prediction. Regardless if whatever happened with this woman.
Again, you’re just jumping to conclusions.

How do you know he won’t be here next season? He signed a 3yr contract.

Who said anything about giving Diggs a raise? Again, he’s on a 3yr contract. Maybe the Pats could restructure the deal but who knows.

As far as the incident reported today, we all have to wait to see how it all plays out. “Innocent until proven guilty” is key here.

Not sure you are right about his contract. Right now, he has the 13th highest cap hit for a WR in 2026. That isn't overpaying for a guy who is coming off a 1,000 yard season in a year he was returning from an ACL tear and playing his best football at the end of the season.

Assuming he isn't found guilty, the Pats could redo his deal just to get his cap # down to get more flexibility, but his contract is reasonable next year. It is a lot of base salary ($20 million), but the cap hit is fine for his production.

If your diggs, who just came off a major injury and lack of interest from the league to get a contract in the first place. You're in your early 30s and you severely outplayed your contract and you're in a league where WR often wants to renegotiate their deals year over year. Why are you NOT making a stink about your contract?

I thought it was obvious that this contract was going to be revisited one way or the other.

As for whatever legal **** is going on. That will never go to trial and we won't ever know the settlement. I doubt he's suspended at all.

Was this available via FOIA request?
It could be something that you get from a FOIA request if the agency is aware of its existence then yes it could be obtained but it could also be redacted. There is always a public copy of a police report available to the public. A photo should never have been taken of the report.

It ruined Brian Banks' life. That was brutal.
Yup.

How about the security guard that the media accused of the Atlanta murders? They had that innocent guy's mug all over the front page of every paper for days.

AB is a cautionary tale for everyone.

And so is Irving Fryar. He got himself jailed years after he retired.

Part of it is, we're all getting older. Our way of living and coping when we were younger don't work anymore. We each have to grow, learn and change.

My observation is, for star NFL wide receivers, it's harder for them than most other people. I think Chris Carter was a good egg for proactively reaching out to help them. We look and feel like we can't be compassionate because of all they're being paid, but it's not about the money.

OT: I saw Just saw these at Target. They look good.
Yeah spot on APF,

Ok no AB.. he was never the same person after the Burfict hit. It sad to see how ABs life has unraveled a sensational player but we see what's happened in his personal life.. I absolutely loooove the JJ cereal...

I'm sure next season Drake would too.. my twin @PatsFan2 would oblige..

Nice house, surprised it's right on the street though.

Why are you assuming he did what he is accused of? There appears to be zero proof.
No, definitely not, but it's believable that he lost his temper. He sounds like he's overextended...I'm not against seeing more than one girl but it shouldn't be a big deal to give his now former personal chef a severance package and move on.

Sounds exactly like AB. Another disgruntled woman trying to shake him down over payment. I have no idea why NE freaked out the way they did when they were seeing each other. She didn't have a case.
He was tossed after threatening the children of the other woman, not the one who shook him down. But the one he contracted with and rebuffed him, the artist.

Hes under contract next year. Whether they keep him at a $26.5m hit w/ only $8m in dead money if cut is another question.

Seems worth it to me.
Clauses invalidate any dead cap money if they decide to cut him based on this case.

Let me further clarify.

Diggs was coming back to ask for more money.

I thought we all understood this?
He signed a 3 year deal.
Yes there is an out, but the team doesn't have to exercise that.
He's due 26.5 next year with an 8 million dead cap hit.
He is worth the 26.5.
You think he's asking for more than that? No way.

Again, you’re just jumping to conclusions.

You're talking about a court of law when you mention "innocent until proven guilty."

Employers like the Patriots and the NFL are a different story.
