And if it doesn't happen? Then what? You'll never admit to being wrong.

I can easily admit I was wrong about not getting brown if we don't get brown.

I would lose zero sleep over it too. Admitting you're wrong isn't a war crime and doesn't emasculate you. I think some here are conditioned to believe that.

For now is the key.

Rest of the year? Sure.

But how will things look next year when he’s another year older, and gets more distractions around him? Next years team will really be built for a run. I don’t want to rely on Diggs to the point where he costs us.

That's a LOT of speculations there, Joey. Why are you assuming there will be MORE distractions? Hell, this is only a "distraction" because the media is making it one.

All we know is there was an altercation between Diggs and his Chef, Diggs allegedly told the chef to leave the house, the Chef allegedly refused and Diggs allegedly got physical and pushed him out. We don't know WHAT started the argument. We don't know WHO initiated the physical contact.

Go back to the Peppers incident. Turned out that the woman was lying. If that's the case here that the CHEF is lying about what happened, then what? You've tarred and feathered Diggs for nothing.

My biggest concern is if this happened on the 2nd why wait two weeks to file the report. I mean she could have been in shock on the 2nd and gave it a day or so to think about and talk with family/friends, two weeks seems like a long time. I would like to learn more about any conversations between parties from the 2nd to the 16th.

This is going to impact his contract for next season.

I am not sure how the pats extend him after this story . It's too risky . There might be some clauses and diggs might need to take on another incentive an playtime based contract with clear out provisions for off field issues .
Hes under contract next year. Whether they keep him at a $26.5m hit w/ only $8m in dead money if cut is another question.

Seems worth it to me.

What conclusion is that? That he was involved in a incident?

No doubt in my mind.

Guess what's never happened to me in my entire adult life? Zero incidents with other full grown men. Especially the kind like this one dude all up in this thread claiming diggs only slapped a dude over being 5 days late on his bday party dinner or whatever the hell he's claiming.

I don't care what happened. We were getting an upgrade this off-season regardless.
I was commenting on the conclusion you drew that Diggs is going to be released which of course you have ZERO facts to back that up now other than your own conjecture. That is “jumping to conclusions”.

Up to now, no one on this board knows what will happen in this case so I don’t think it’s in anyone’s interest to presume anything.

But say what you want…

Better decision making?
First off, he hasn't been proven guilty of anything.
Secondly, no other WR wanted to come here, and Diggs impact has been significant.
What better decisions could we have made and keep in mind he has not been found guilty of anything).
He could’ve not gone on a boat with a bunch of woman and look like he had drugs with him and have it filmed

Sounds like the money she was requesting was a small amount of money. He could’ve just paid her. He also could’ve just not texted her profanity laced text that he knew would come back and make him look bad.

He Is a rich famous guy that has a lot to lose. These are not smart decisions
he could’ve avoided both of these situations with better decision-making

It’s different than saying that he’s been found guilty of anything Because I have no idea. I’m just saying that he’s a distraction twice this year and both times he could’ve made better decisions and avoided both distractions.

Based on WHAT? You've got nothing but f'in hearsay right now. Diggs is on a 3 yr deal anyways. So why do you think that they need to give him an extension?

Need to see the facts first.
That facts were released, all of it. Nothing else remains. Diggs team wanted police report not released because it had personal info including his phone number, address and other details the public had no business knowing. The report now seems to have been deleted from the internet and on one wants to repost it. There is no evidence, there is clear motive for one side and it is not Diggs. I can win this case.
She said; "He slapped me across the face, then tried to choke me in a headlock. I almost blacked out."Followed with: "I still haven't been paid".

My bad, I misread your post.
I thought you said We (meaning the team) could've made better decisions, insinuating not signing him.
Agreed, he coudl've made better decisions.

Sounds exactly like AB. Another disgruntled woman trying to shake him down over payment. I have no idea why NE freaked out the way they did when they were seeing each other. She didn't have a case.

Oh no doubt..not victim blame at all.. as thier are legitimate abused and battered woman out there who were harmed and I don't for one second condone any violence against women. It just all appears as if he fired her.. she got angry then it's said there was a built up text exchange over money...
AB is a cautionary tale for everyone.

And so is Irving Fryar. He got himself jailed years after he retired.

Part of it is, we're all getting older. Our way of living and coping when we were younger don't work anymore. We each have to grow, learn and change.

My observation is, for star NFL wide receivers, it's harder for them than most other people. I think Chris Carter was a good egg for proactively reaching out to help them. We look and feel like we can't be compassionate because of all they're being paid, but it's not about the money.

OT: I saw Just saw these at Target. They look good.

My mind can't help but wonder if this is a "me too" movement thing like Lindsey Hill accused Trevor Bauer.
Like Brett Cavanaugh's accuser and the Duke lacrosse team's accuser.

I would suggest signing players who own microwaves?

AB was really crazy though.
The fact she waited 2 weeks and didn't think to take photos of the "redness on her chest" leaves zero evidence and leaves a 100% he said/she said. Which is why in the end she just gets paid and signs a confidentiality.
