Just when he was finally getting away from his scumbag persona, the moron chokes someone.

Just incredible.
You forgot "allegedly".

He’s got a bunch of stuff in his past suggesting he makes dumb impulsive decisions. This feels in line with that.

But doesnt make me think he’s a scumbag I’d rather not have in the Pats.

This will blow over

It's probably accurate to assume this involves a woman. The question is who, and then what the circumstances were.
why? it could very easily be a man. I'd say around 50/50, based on population data. Also, no mention of "domestic" yet.

Lol Hill is a bad guy for sure but Diggs doesnt fall behind unfortunately lots of POS behavior that he has in the past.
Call it what it is Sam's right if he weren't a Patriot we'd be killing him
This is not true.
When Hill was arrested on his way to the stadium I deferred until I knew all the facts, and if I recall correctly he was absolved of any wrong doing.
I will do the same here, and not jump to a guilty conclusion.

Well you a better man than me thats for sure lol

Compare the Patriots statement regarding this with Stefon Diggs to the one with Jack Jones. Thought it was interesting. Bolded emphasis is mine.

Stefon Diggs:

"The New England Patriots are aware of the accusations that have been made regarding Stefon Diggs. Stefon has informed the organization that he categorically denies the allegations. We support Stefon. We will continue to gather information and will cooperate fully with the appropriate authorities and the NFL as necessary. Out of respect for all parties involved, and given that this is an ongoing legal matter, we will have no further comment at this time."

Jack Jones:

"We have been notified that Jack Jones was arrested at Logan Airport earlier today. We are in the process of gathering more information and will not be commenting further at this time."

Complete spculation and wishful thinking...

Diggs and some guy have heated words. That escalates to shoving. Diggs sticks the guy in the throat to keep him off before blows can be exchanged. The guy lawyers up whining "He choked me." Guy cashes check.
But how do the police file charges based on that scenario?

He's not going to be suspended this year for the incident but the distraction here is the real problem.

On the bright side he's gonna be released and we will be forced to make a trade for a legitimate WR next year.

What a piece of ****

Can anyone confirm that he never got the Chris Carter introduction to the NFL as a rookie…..

„You got to have a fall guy. „

That would explain everything & require leniency.

So what were the rumors then?
It started with he got arrested for slapping his personal chef. Some said people around Diggs poisoned Diggs against his chef during planning for this birthday celebration on Dec 4. His actual birthday was Nov29.
The Chef said something disrespectful to someone close to Diggs, he got mad, confronted the chef, it got physical and we are here. But at no point was anyone strangled, suffocated but I can see how a lawyer who wants to shake things up can escalate things.

This stuck out to me as well. I don’t know if it is because there is a different regime in place but this was a much stronger stand PR-wise for Diggs.

Whatever happened to Willie? That thing in the restaurant seemed serious and I think there was video did he beat that?

Question is, will Bob going to panic and release Diggs like he did with AB for absolutely no reason? He learned from his mistake and won't do it until he gets all the facts.

Well you a better man than me thats for sure lol
Nah, I've just been around long enough to know that making judgements without having all the facts has lead to many incorrect convictions, both in the court of public opinion and the legal system.
Ultimately he may be guilty, and then it's a different conversation, but I just don't know enough now to make that judgement, as do the rest of us, or the legal system.

Wait and see. Plenty of NFL players have violent sides—and plenty of people who have an interaction or disagreement with an NFL star see dollar signs in accusations. (Cf.: Edelman, Julian)

Based on what I’m reading I feel like this is most likely going to blow over. Perhaps a settlement, no suspension, season carries on.

Hill has a history of assault charges.

Diggs does not.

If Hill got popped with this, I'd still say, as always: let it play out, but history isn't on the side of Hill here.

No need to project what most might say about Hill onto me.

Diggs mainly has been in the spotlight for cheating and sex. Who tf cares.

The two are nowhere close to the same. Diggs falls far behind Hill.

Sounds like nothing burger then. Dude got fired, there was an altercation, an opportunity presented itself for a cash grab, and here we are.
Absolutely correct. So seemingly from the week coverage on it the case is getting pushed to March 2026.. Patriots made a statement.. saying they support Diggs.

From what I have gathered that sounds like what happened, and true is something that happens all the time without any prosecution. What separates it is that he's a pro athlete with ****loads if money, so the guy on the wrong end goes after his checkbook instead of just going home and licking his wounds.

I don't support anyone beating someone up, and if it's serious it could well be assault, but if the story leaking out is accurate then this is literally no big deal at all.
