No assistant ever made Belichick do anything, and just as he has to take the blame for bad decisions he gets credit for the good ones.This is where the Cult falls apart, they believe he should get all the credit, but no blame, and that's not the way life works. If you are responsible then you get both. Rehbein scouted Brady, and he definitely advocated for him, but Belichick could have blown him off, which he did to scouts and assistants regularly, instead he took him, kept 4 quarterbacks instead of cutting him, and then traded the $100 million QB to make him the starter. On the downside he was also such a dour ******* that he ultimately drove him out of town. So while I agree that Belichick made numerous bad choices for Brady!s back ups and then his successors, he still gets credit for the GOAT.
