It's pretty obvious to me, that the team that has been created to date, was NOT what we had when we played earlier in the year.
I'd have no issues playing Raiders or Pittsburgh right now....
I PERSONALLY think this team is a much better TEAM then back then, but it's what it is.
I want Denver, they are prentenders.
Yes, we are much better now than in the weeks that we lost to LV and PIT.

And DEN is hopefully a pretender. Go Bolts!

That being said, I want the 1st round bye, so that we play our games at home. I see us having great home advantages over JAX, LAC, HOU DEN, BUF and PIT.

There's one team that will always be able to beat us at home, the last team to do so...

The refs.

We‘ve lost 3/8 at home; I’m not entirely sure what our HFA is ….. ???

I see us having great home advantages over JAX, LAC, HOU DEN, BUF and PIT. (FIFY. )
I see us having general team advantages over LAC, DEN, and PIT.
JAX, HOU are the two likely dogfights that you would assume would be better off to face at home.
BUF is a tossup wherever we play based on health, we win if we get key guys back in time to be in form.

The first 2 home losses were in weeks 1 and 3, Pats now a different team. Bills loss has its own asterisks.

If I had to pick 1 team to avoid it is Bills since it is only team in AFC with a QB that can go superman on you.
I feel with Maye, even the good defense like Houston, is going to get minimum 23 points so just a question of which offenses can keep up?

Bills, Jags are the only 2 I think can do that regularly.
Bills due to Allen and Jags due to Cohen. Lawrence is still a mediocre QB, but one with a great system.

I think Pats could beat any of them, but Bills and Jags would be the ones I'd think would be the toughest

Yup, DEN is so bad that Reid should have been able to easily beat them with a 3rd string QB with no experience.
Andy should get COTY.

Broncos only won by 7.

Denver isnt a pretender.

I don't trust Herbert or the Chargers. Harbaugh either.

I don't want a 1st round bye. The PATs have not played as well as they should have twice after extended days off - Giants and Bills home. All 3 losses were at Gillette and all road games wins.

Home field has not been kind to us this year. Not saying I'd want to go on the road, but damnit our only losses are at home lol. Kinda wild that we are undefeated on the road.

As much as I want to lean into the trend of home not being our strong field, it's an entirely different beast in the playoffs and that rest means everything in the post season. If this team can't stomach a bye, it won't cough up a SB win.

The Broncos always manage to piss me off. It’s like they lose when I want them to win and win when I want them to lose. I really despised that 2015 team. Difference is I feel a lot more confident about facing this 2025 team if it comes down to it. But that Week 1 loss to the Raiders looms annoyingly large.
Sounds like you should be placing bets against what you want to happen and at least get some money out of it..

You are spot on with your points. It is also worth noting that it is much better to avoid playing teams who do have a real home field advantage where they are at their best.

If the Pats gets the #2 seed, they will play at least two playoff games at home anyway to make the Super Bowl (assuming they get that far). But they will have to play one more game to get to the Super Bowl. Even if they get the #3 seed, they could play two or three home games in the playoffs. The only way they will be assured of a road game or more in the playoffs is if they lose one of their last two games and the Bills win out and the Pats are the fifth seed Wild Card. The #1 seed and the #2 seed are guaranteed to play the same amount of home games in the playoffs if they make it to the AFCCG.

You want the first round bye. It is a huge advantage. There has never been a Four Games to Glory Patriots DVD for a reason. I will take the #1 seed every time.

Besides, the Pats losing at home is overstated. The first game of the season is always a fluke. And the Pats should have beaten the Steelers, but fumbled the ball too much.

I haven't been impressed with the Broncos the last few weeks. They should have crushed the Chiefs last night. Andy Reid was so ultra conservative and predictable on offense that even I could predict what they were running each play. Reid should have opened up the offense more since they had nothing to lose.

BTW, I think it is funny that the Broncos fans think Nix is as good or better than Drake Maye. Maye would have carved up the Chiefs last night. Nix was mediocre last night.

Bo Nix looks like a 40 year old bad guy from a cheesy 80s action movie. TRUE

I sat next to him on a flight from Eugene to Seattle once and he ate candy the entire time. He and his wife were friendly. ALSO TRUE

Save the “ division foes in a Thursday night game” excuses.

I ain’t afraid of no Bo.

But I do desperately want that bye for the extra rest (for the team and me).

Could be the beginning of the end of the honeymoon era for Dan Campbell and the Lions. They had no business losing to the 49ers in the NFCCG up 24-10 with a chance to go 27-10, losing to the Commanders in last year's divisional round and now missing the playoffs.

Pats are not getting the bye.
I'm happy with a home playoff game. Way exceeded expectations for 2025.
And yes the team hasn't played well coming off extended time off this season

if we win out i think it's >50% chance we get the bye
