Several times after the game I clicked on links in the index page and got served a totally different thread. Thread I got was usually four or five off in the index listing, not adjacent. It repeated multiple times but interspersed with correct results so not truly reproducible just repeatable. Was not always the same link. @Ian could this be cloudflare, or more likely your site?

Not sure ... I'd have to see that one to try and make heads/tails as to what the issue might be?

Here it is:

You can see Mapu hits Gunner first, and because he’s coming in from Gunner’s left the hit pushes Gunner right into Ellis’s trajectory. Brutal hit but no fault to anyone. Laws of physics at work. I hope Gunner is okay after that. It looks like it could have really bad consequences. Sadly, he might need to hang up his cleats after that, before compounding the CTE exposure.

I don't know if I've really watched a QB develop like that in front of my eyes. I was pretty young when Brady first came on, so I don't recall if his development was as visible, or a switch that just seemingly flipped on when the time called.

The short answer is yes. People don’t want to admit it, but Tom was pretty rough his first year which is understandable for a 2nd year 6th round pick. Had it not been for their easy schedule, I don’t think they make the playoffs. They lost most of their games against teams .500 and above.

The 2002 opener against Pittsburgh showed a glimpse of what was to come, but his style and mechanics were still pretty much the same. The defense was bad that year and playing from behind was too overwhelming for him.

2003 he showed up when he needed to in shootouts vs Tennessee, Indy and later Carolina. There were many games during that season that were pretty rough.

I’d say 2004 was when his style started changing with the addition of Corey Dillon opening up the passing game. This carried over in 2005 and 2006. But it was in 2007 when he unlocked God mode.

One thing that also gets swept under the rug during that 1st dynasty years was that he threw his fair share of stupid passes in the red zone that got intercepted when they were on the brink of putting teams away. That stopped by 2007.

I’ve mentioned on this board before, I’ve never seen a QB change/improve his style and mechanics as much as Tom Brady.

Speaking of left side of the line.. kudos to Lowe hoping he can continue to build off his strong performance.. NYG have some serious pass rushers.. and he held his own. If Lowe continues to play well and protect Drake I say allow Campbell all the time he needs.. as it's an MCL tear...

For all of the people bad mouthing Lowe, if the Pats were to cut Lowe he would have competition for his services.

I always hate hearing that from fans in any sport. I swear the amount of times they are right has to be like 2%. It's hard to win.

The more likely scenario is next year we’re 7-6 or 8-5 at this time of year. I think we’ll have a second winning season next year but it’s hard to go 11-2. We aren’t a dynasty *yet*

First: There is only ONE team that gets AWARDed playoff berths. .... and we aint the Queefs.

Second: The formula hasnt changed in years (other than adding a 17th game and more NFC teams to the mix. )
But the formula remains essentially the same. CONF Win % is what counts for tie-breaker after head-head.
The reason we havent clinched is because NE lost two games to AFC TEAMS; if they had lost both games to NFC and beat Faders and Squeelers; they would likely have clinched.

Except it was not a trade off. That's called coping.

Not a trade off, but all of the success makes the ****ty years more tolerable. At least for me it did.

I'm not so much of a homer that I'll defend helmet to helmet hits, even if it's a Patriot doing it, because unlike the NFL I actually care about the wellbeing of the players.

But unless I'm missing something this isn't a dirty hit. Dart was still inbounds and the hit was to his upper arm/shoulder.

Now the one earlier in the game on Hawkins, that was absolutely a helmet to helmet hit and was correctly penalized.

Nothing at all wrong with that hit.

With what we have seen with the Pats’ improvement this year, and the expected FA influx and draft additions, that schedule doesn’t seem daunting to me.

Does abdul carters sack still stand? When i watched the highlights it looks like drake gains at least half a yard (terrible spot on the play as always it seems). Carter makes contact with him behind the los but he pretty clearly goes past it for a positive gain. Thought itd for sure be one of those stat corrections

It was close. MNF kept showing the replay trying to get it overturned but they were unsuccessful. Either conclusive evidence he got both feet down, or at least insufficient evidence that he did not.

The Pats were limping coming into this game. Williams, Tonga, Campbell, Wilson out. I fully expected them to tough it out and find a way to win, because that is what this team does.

I did not expect them to play their most physical game of the year, and take the Giants out to the woodshead. This was a statement game.

This team is literally an extension of Mike Vrabel. It is very reminiscent of 2001.

No more "the Pats should not be afraid of any team" crap. Every team that plays the Pats should be prepared to get the **** kicked out of them.

somehow this reminds of 2003. were 2-2 , tons of injuries , mike cloud running the ball of all people, no one really cared we were unbeaten the rest of the way and only gave back handed compliments
