Looks like a completely different player when Murray’s not under center.
He's a good player, and he will be great eventually.
People give up on guys so fast.

Jerry makes some questionable calls, but I wouldn't fault him for this.
They picked up an extra 2026 and a 2027 1st round pick for Parsons, and I believe Maxx would make about $30M less over the next 3 years.
Huh. I thought Crosby was more than two years older than Parsons.

How much will you give up for Marvin Harrison jr?
IIRC he hasn’t looked as good as promised until tonight. It’s the QB throwing to him tonight. Why can’t we get guys like that?

Jerry's not getting any younger. His O is playing at a really high level, but the D is trash.
So I wouldn't blame him.
Now some would argue, why not to just resign Parsons?
Like I said, he makes some questionable decisions.
Hmm, if that plays out he ends up with Crosby instead of Parsons, a 2027 first round pick, and $30million.

Questionable?

An easy question
===========
Would we better to have Jacoby active instead of Williams for the rest of the season?
==========
It would seem that we would have a better chance to go deeper into the playoffs with Williams inactive in favor of someone that can contribute. It seems that this could be an addition. It could be Chism. I could even be a Practice Squad elevation. It just seems that the active roster spot could be used for someone who is contributing or who is likely to contribute.
=========
Perhaps Jacoby at $5M is the wrong player, but someone should be able to add more than Williams.

I would be surprised if we don't acquire an edge player. All of our pass rush is coming from 4 players. We just need someone that can give us something when those guys need a breather. Barmore is 3rd in pressures for DI, Williams is 7th. Landry is 12th in pressures for edge, Chaisson 16th. Those guys have been amazing, the problem is behind them theres absolutely nothing in terms of pass rush. I just dont see us playing out the rest of the season with an UDFA (Ponder), and a guy whos been on the trade block since the preseason (Jennings) as the top backups.

I do like the idea of an upgrade. I suspect almost all of us do.

Ponder and Jennings were the only backups as of a month ago (plus White). We've added Tavai and Murphy.

Essentially,
Tavai replaced White.
Murphy is an upgrade to Ponder.
and Jennings is still a question mark and on the trading block

Tavai doesn’t play the same position as White.

Wilson to the Cowboys. Too bad he would not have been a terrible addition. I’ll feel better if the price was more than a fourth

It doesn't really make sense to trade dugger and white and not make any moves at the deadline.

That's just bad business

The Pats signed EDGE Caleb Murphy off waivers and S John Saunders off Miami's PS. Those may effectively replace White and Duggar, not a high bar.

Any other signings will be to upgrade the roster, for both the short and long term.

I expect the Patriots to be very active over the next 8h, but they will not sell the farm for a short-term upgrade, and they need a willing trade partner.

It’s definitely questionable.
My point is I wouldn’t fault him for trying to right a wrong.
He made a mistake, his defense stinks and he knows it.

Anyone on that Bengals D that’s been playing is very suspect. While Wilson can’t do everything I’d be wary of giving up much for him. I saw Dallas for him for a 6th which seems about right. Dallas needs a lot more than that though.

Wilson has been kind of benched lately which is even worse

when

I’m confident we make a few moves today.

I assume they do something ya.

You don't need to sell the farm but call my skeptical that someone off the street is providing more value than dugger or white in respect to the final 8 games.

I think we all assumed they made those trades to open up a roster spot for something they intended to do today.

Didn't jerraah just say hes in it for the money last week, he really doesn't care as long as the fans show up and buy merchandise. He reminds me of Jeramy jacobs when he owned the bruins. He didn't care if they won the stanly cup as long as they filled the seats and bought from the concession stand
The Jacobs family owns Delaware North (HQ in Buffalo) who operates the concessions for High Mark Stadium (Bills) and they have the highest priced food of all the NFL teams. I think a hot dog is like $11.25 tops in the league so you are spot on with your assessments.

Dugger and White didn't provide value. That's the point.

Dallas' D sucks, so they are signing a player who can't get on the field for an even worse D?

I liked Wilson coming out in the draft, FWIW. But doubtful he will be a savior.
