It's nice to see Mac get a full shot at showing what he can. Maybe he'll be a legit starter and maybe he won't, but he deserves a genuine shot at showing what he can do after the ******** he had to deal with here.

Not writing him off, just concerning that he was out snapped by someone called up from the practice squad.
All we need is a Four yards and a cloud of dust RB. One that keeps the D honest: the Rham Today and Jennings will suffice. Jennings looks hungry for reps; maybe that will light a fire under Henderson.

Another nice road win.

Not surprised at the first quarter. There's usually juice on a team playing for a freshly minted interim coach. The Pats weathered the storm and did what had to be done.

As for Henderson, I could be wrong, but I'm getting James White type feelings with him. It took White a second to come into his own, and once Henderson settles in, if he does, I still really like his potential.

Geeze - spoiler alert please. I DVR'd it and didn't want to know who won. :-/

I'm out of market and because I've been reticent to pay for whatever that package is nowadays, I'm on the NFL+ thing and watch the game after the fact, so I'm on a total media blackout until 1:30 (AZ time). I accidentally clicked into here once out of habit last year...so far, so good this year.

The Rham today ran against one of the worst run Ds in the league. Doing this against Cleveland’s front will tell us more.

The titans were a good opponent for Trey to get some run and maybe some confidence going forward. His big play ability can take this offense to the next level.

all of that was Mac's own making. His gutless style of play, his inability to learn not to put the ball in harm's way constantly.

What exactly do you want coaches to do with him? He's unplayable.

The coaches were right to want to move on from him.

Yeah. I don't agree with any of that, except that it is at least somewhat reasonable to assume he does not have the makings of a "franchise QB." That is still in question, but the rest of it is just horseshit unsubstantiated by the ******** opportunity a petty and vindictive Bill afforded him here.

Reading the Henderson comments I was going to respond with something very similar regarding White. Too much talent there for it not to 'click' eventually. Some guys don't have the smoothest of transitions to the pro game. You watch his college highlights and read his pre-draft eval and the dog in him just jumps out, speed backs that block with his tenacity just don't grow on trees. Henderson's potential merits patience

Then Bill should not have drafted him. He should have moved up for Parsons.

Too many win/lose people out there. See it in Politics, Identity, etc... Unfortunately, has been a forever thing among some Pats fans. Can't handle win/win.

Win/Win = We won, there are things that need improvement but there's been improvement and there looks to be a plan that it will continue to improve.

Win/Lose = We won, barely, and we continue to suck in areas X, Y, and Z. At any second we're all going to die.

I think if the Pats played a perfect game, a blowout, shutout by the defense, no penalties, etc., one of the first postgame threads would start by saying, "Nice win, but it's too much to expect this to continue."

The "Madden B!tcches" will be whin ing that Mac Jones could have done it, and we'd have 10 STUDS if we'd kept him.

Is what it is.

Atl's D does look good. They play fast and aggressive. There O is pretty good too, I hear that Bijan guy is decent.
That will be a tough game.
I bought tickets to that game, my first game in Gillette since 2012. I figured it won’t be so cold, and it would be a team we should be able to beat. That was before they started playing well, especially defensively. The next two games could be really tough.

I will always root for Mac. Loved him at Alabama, loved him as a Patriot’s player (his first year). I don’t blame him for his 2nd season. The way I look at him, he most likely will be a career backup, though SF’s offense seems to be a perfect fit for him. But they have Purdy so much money, so I expect Purdy to get his job back no matter how well Mac plays.

He’s a good backup, I look at him as a lesser version of Jimmy G.
