We don’t need a WR. We need a LB who can remotely cover. We are being gushed in the middle of the defense by average QBs. Yes our scoring defense is good but yards being given up is a concern.
Also need a RB. The rest are luxury.

A free safety is not a luxury. Hawkins or Dugger is beat like a drum regularly.

If the trade compensation is low enough and Brown is willing to rework his contract to make it more palatable I could get behind it.

Look at his salary… none of the teams you mention above can absorb his salary without some serious manipulation. NE can…

Glad people here know ball. Bunch of smooth brains in the media want RB/WR when those are not even close to what I would trade for. I'd rather trade for Safety/LB/Edge or a lineman who can runblock.

I don't think that any of those guys currently bring anything more to the pass rush. The 3 above are all upgrades vs the run over Chaisson.

I have seen a Derrick Henry trade rumor. I also do not like the idea of trading for Henry either. Our OL is not creating holes on a regular basis and Henry tends to need some room to get going. I do not think Henry would do well behind our ****ty run blocking OL.

IfF we Trade for A.J. Brown we would have the Best Pass Offense in the AFC. Also D Henry would gain 2 yards minimum of any Run and not get stuffed like Henderson and Rham. I guess we would just hate to see Drake Maye get even Greater with Elite Talents.

To me, Safety is the one to upgrade of you have to choose one.

RB, Edge, Blocking TE would also be nice.

Interestingly Giardi said today that Ellis has been a “different player” the last few games. Now I need to go re-watch. Maybe LB isn’t as big an issue as I thought.

Nah, he's still the ****tiest Elliss brother. It's nice he keeps his head enough to punch out balls, but he's still just getting cooked every time he has to cover someone.

If the Patriots want to signal they're actually going for it this year, you're absolutely right. Safety is the move.

I would trade for AJ Brown in a vaccum but why tf would the eagles trade him when they are coming off a superbowl win and are 4-2 and leading their division? Makes zero sense regardless of how many mopey tweets he sends. Seems like something you do in the offseason which I think makes more sense from a salary cap standpoint for the eagles too.

We do not need AJ.
We should be looking at Edge, and Safety. RB if one shakes free.

We need to know what Williams or Chism can do before we trade a WR back to the Eagles. So until that happens...the Eagles won't be getting a WR in return.

AJ Brown is not getting traded in season. In the offseason, maybe. The Eagles could move on and replace him in free agency or the draft, but there is no replacing him in season.

And is WR receiver even the Pats' biggest need right now? The receivers are getting separation as good any other team's WRs. Even Kyle Williams is getting wide open. He just needs to get on the same page with Maye. Maye is second in the league in completion percentage and I think he is the best deep ball passer in the league right now. Obviously getting an AJ Brown or Tee Higgins or another guy who can be a top #1 will help, but it isn't the biggest priority.

Right now the Pats need a running game and a better defense. The passing game is the biggest strength on the team right now. I would rather trade for Breece Hall or Alvin Kamara or Trey Hendrickson than a WR unless they can get a guy who is elite or potentially elite.

Williams just needs to get on the same page with Maye. They cannot connect with each other. But it seems like every time Maye does throw to him, Williams is wide open and has the potential to get a lot of YAC.

Will they get on the same page? Who knows? If they do, I think Williams can be dynamic.

I'd suggest they need a safety next to Woodson before any of that, really.

Woodson has been playing better lately...he's a rook. Not a S but Gonzo just got back recently. I think the secondary will only improve. I would much rather the team get an RB (1st down back...starter or backup) or OL instead.

Here me out.. and I'll loop in @Zuma @TommyD4207 as well. Yes everything you fine gentlemen are posting is reasonable. I'm simply saying that while we may not " need" AJ. The notion is simply "if" the possibility arises where it made sense to add him. He takes this offense to elite status. As a fan I'd caution about thinking we don't need more. Vrabel even said himself he's looking to improve the roster..

We are playing well and really ascending at a pace in the rebuild that few saw. However the roster still needs more. We do need to see Williams develop into that wr we believe he can be.. now of he develops into such then we have something.
