The difference is that we need Dugger as a sub at this point. So Dugger for a 7th and white for a 5th??
White may serve no purpose.

There's a world where both work out. When Efton Chism gets' his shot; I think we are going going to say what wasn't??
The more Pass Rushers the better: use him in that role until his Rookie contract is up.I feel like White is a player without a position. He's a tweener that doesn't fit on the team...so far. I think he has pro-bowl potential but maybe not with the Pats. While were at it...I'm starting to lean in the same direction with Douglas. Pop needs to be good at beating both man and zone...but he's not. Hollins in the slot fixes several issues that Pop has such as height / catch radius. Chism is probably better in zone coverage's....and possibly man.
With the Pats I see him more of a LB...like a Mike...roaming pre-snap for opportunities to get to whoever has the ball. But I don't think that's his skill set and size. He would fit better on another team IMO.The more Pass Rushers the better: use him in that role until his Rookie contract is up.
I'd be totally fine moving him. Has tools but they haven't translated to being a good player yet because he lacks discipline. Stupid roughness penalties and refuses to set the EDGE. Many blamed Mayo but even as an inept coach there's no way he was telling players to commit stupid penalties and let the QB out of the pocket every play. At some point, if a guy looks totally inept he needs to be blamed himself. And fans eat up a lot of his quotes because he sounds like a tough gritty football player, but actually read what he says and it's all dripping in a lack of accountability.
Maybe the guy turns it around, but right now he seems like the definition of a losing football player. People here get mad at a lot of player quotes yet somehow he escapes peoples' wrath when he's far and away the biggest losing player/bad attitude quote machine on the team.
He was playing well at the beginning of last year when he was in the interior. Only when injuries had him playing out on edge did he look ineffective.
He should be a rotational player in the interior imo. At the very least he can come in as a pass rusher from the interior on obvioius passing downs.
If you look at the positive plays he made here against the Seahawks last year, he's much better coming from the insides vs outside
But if he doesn't buy into Vrabel, then he's gonna be a goner. I hope I'm wrong.
You might be onto something......While he's been versatile at times the thing he's probably done best is rush from the interior. Even then the sacks and pressures have been in spurts.
With that said the real problem for White now might just be that Barmore and Milton are beasts and have that role completely locked down.
Can he be useful enough anywhere else? Is what we need to find out.
Reiss should turn around and ask them: and who takes his spot?? We have to live with Gonzo like we did Gronk: we've seen this movie before. Great when they're playing sucks when they're not.Media is already getting irritated with Gonzalez and asked the question about trading him to Mike Reiss.
What?Media is already getting irritated with Gonzalez and asked the question about trading him to Mike Reiss.

Why would Reiss look to add Gonzo?Media is already getting irritated with Gonzalez and asked the question about trading him to Mike Reiss.
Think of it this way..
Hes on his 3rd defense in 3 years but he's also played 1350 career snaps, been in 3 training camps, had 100+ practices, and ~40 regular and preseason games combined.
How long does it take for a player who has talent, skill, and solid technique take to develop?
Gonzo will be Hof CB with good health.1) Gronk was an all time great
2) Gronk played hurt because:
3) Gronk’s body was destroyed
Really like Gonzo but I’m not quite ready to say any of those things about him yet.
Talk of trading him is a bit nuts though
The more reps the betterMilton was not a starter for the Eagles and was effectively used as a rotational player.
If white had problem potential they would put him in a position to use it.I feel like White is a player without a position. He's a tweener that doesn't fit on the team...so far. This about sums it up. Still a little early in the year to completely give up but not exactly sure what role he's going to get where he gets a chance to shine but if it happens quick maybe we jumped the gun.If white had problem potential they would put him in a position to use it.
What role would he be probowl caliber that we don’t have?
Hes not a speed rusher and seems undisciplined on the run in the edge. I used to think he was be a good disruptive DT particularly as a pass rusher, but he has shown zero pass rushing ability for a long time now.
Hes had many opportunities to show that ability in varying roles and he just hasn’t done it. He showed promise as a rookie, started out well last year, but since has become just an extremely easy guy to block.
Hope he figures it out, but it’s not looking promising.
