This is one thing MLB has going for it that the NFL does not, so the NFL is trying to cash in. Look at how hot both the Boston Marathon yellows and who-knows-why greens are selling for the Red Sox. The NFL wants in on this action. They tried before and massively failed with the color rush uniforms. This is take 2.

its not so much that they are terrible, more like indistinguishable... if you saw that uni on the field, without knowing which team it was, would you think Patriots? Could you puzzle it out from the colors?
I like the way the NE looks on the shoulder but given the color scheme doesn't cry Patriots I kind of wish the Elvis was on the shoulder like the mid 90s so that it's in your face that it's a Patriots jersey.
They keep departing further and further from original colors. I admit to always favoring original uniforms and throwbacks. Don't look like Patriots, imo.
Yeah that's my one gripe too.
I understand those are optional uniforms but I loved these unis. I want to see these again...exactly how they were...

90's are my favorite. Both the home and away jerseys' colors really popped out on standard TV's back then. I can't wait to see them in HD. I think I'd lose the subtle soccer stripes on the 90's jersey and reduce the size of the flying Elvis on the shoulders. On the 2000's jersey, get rid of the grey shoulder stripes and the grey piping on the collar.
