“What has been told to me”…by whom, Bobby? It’s very unlikely that it was Butler and 100% wasn’t BB or Steve. I’ve never even heard any player or coach say “I know why he was benched but I prefer to keep that in house”. It’s always “I don’t know/have no idea”.

Those Kraft quotes tell me is that the ungrateful dwarf has no ****ing idea why Bill benched Butler either and is making **** up because it seemed like a prime opportunity to do so for the Documentary/HOF campaign video.

He literally got benched by Vrabel as their starting CB for Adoree Jackson, their nickel CB. Butler sucked. He sucked in 2017 and was a locker room cancer complaining about his contract.

If BB had given him Gilmore’s contract or the eventual deal Tennessee gave him it would go down as one of the worst contracts signed during the dynasty.

Malcolm Butler, JC Jackson…. these guys were system guys who looked great in Bill’s defense. They weren’t 1-A corners nor did they deserve that kind of money… Butler just thought he did.

Again, the mistake Bill made wasn’t benching Butler, it was not trading Butler to the Saints that preseason when they offered a 2nd.

Yes- he was benched for a period because he wasn't playing well one year. Overall he started 36 of 41 games, 10 picks, 35 passes defensed and in 2020 had the 2nd best year of his career. That is not "sucking".
