Chris Hogan

bent Pittsburgh over in the 2016 AFCCG for 9/180/2

in the drive to tie the game in SB 51 he made a crucial catch on 3rd and 10 when the Pats were backed up on their own 9

6/128/1 in SB 52 (**** that game)

made a crucial one handed catch on 3rd and 8 in the 4th quarter of the 2018 AFCCG when the Pats were down 17-21

Drew Bledsoe will never get enough credit for coming in for an injured Tom Brady with ice in his veins to throw a TD to another clutch Patriot, David Patten in the 2001 AFC Championship Game.

If Bledsoe doesn't make that and other plays in that game, we don't make it to the Super Bowl and Patriots History might be VERY different.

Although there was no question in my mind at that point that Brady was the QB of the present and future - once Bledsoe through that TD to Patten I also knew there was no stopping the Pats that day.

Another favorite Bledsoe moment was when he ignored Pete Carroll's call for a TO in the 1997 Super Bowl Playoff run and through a similar pivotal TD. That was the beginning of the end for Pete in my mind, as Bledsoe made clear the players didn't really respect him as a coach - and of course that helped bring about Belichick and Brady!

I always just loved the fact that even with everything that went on with choosing the QB post Drew's injury that he still had a significant impact on the playoff run. STs and Defense won that Steelers game but Drew's TD to Patten was also huge and beautiful. I also always liked how Similar that Patten TD looked to the one he scored in the Superbowl. I love Patten I'll always have a soft spot for him.

And don't forget all the coaching Drew did for Tom. If you ever watch...oh god, one of the things about that Super Bowl... Tom says Drew told him 'F*** it, just throw."

Drew took another hit in that AFCCG similar to Mo Lewis, getting right back up this time. Loved how fired up TB12 was seeing that.

That AFCCG is, IMHO, one of the top five games in the history of the team.

Other people have grumped that Drew didn't play particularly well that game. Which, statswise, he didn't. He also made some awkward passes.

But he hadn't played any extended amount of time in months. And was coming back from near death.

Given those facts, even an average game from him was pretty amazing.

AS AN ASIDE... I still crack up at the halftime show. Poor Sheryl Crow, out there in Pittsburgh....IN JANUARY... dressed in a heavy winter coat... singing "I'm Gonna Soak Up the SUN". The irony was peak.
