I deleted it. The thread was about edelmans reaction to watching OTAs, not about whether edelman or venatierie deserves to be in the PHOF first. Towards the end i asked posters to stop hijacking the original intent of the thread, as did others, I got blown off. If you want to discuss who deserves to be inducted first start your own thread.
Thanks.

We need more of this sort of thing.

Now is the perfect time to start a Edelman vs Viednitari. IMO both should go into the PHOF. But if you want to get small i go with edelman being the first in. He spent his entire career with the pats, Vienitarie who was given his big shot by BB turned his back on the team and signed with an arch rival over money.

Yeah, but that kick in the snow against the Raiders CHANGED THE FRANCHISE.

It’s a tough call, but Vinatieri by a whisker.

SMDH, there was a poll with pages of 'debate' about Edelman vs Vinatieri. The thread is still open:

If we’re going to delete threads that go off topic, we're not going to have any threads left.

What a childish thing to do.

I thought only mods could delete threads, not people who cry because they started a thread about a topic that got little interest and it turned into a topic that created a discussion.

Maybe he technically only deleted the OP; and the rest of the JE vs AV posts are now orphan electrons in the dark web.

Let's restart the conversation.

While the WR is more important and better than the K, Adam making those kicks helped create the standard that was set for years prior to Julian's arrival and becoming the go to WR. Had Adam missed those kicks, the Pats could've well been like an Aaron Rodgers/Roethlisberger/Brees/Manning type teams living off of one Super Bowl for many years. How many times did we see kickers trot onto the field as the teams last resort only to shank kicks that lost the game for them?

Had Jules not gone beastmode on that last scoring drive including the TD does the second dynasty ever get off its feet? Then there's the Catch, the SBMVP, his TD pass, and some others I'm not thinking of I'm sure.

I disagree. One game does not impact future seasons.
He was incredible in the snow bowl. But winning that game doesn’t carry over to future seasons games.
Overall he was a below avg K on the post season.

Edelman led the NFL in receptions and receiving yards in the post season in 14,16 and 18 Championship seasons and was a SB MVP.
Edelman was > Gronk in the post season.

Whether it be game winners or converting a FG to put points on the board, we don't win in 01 or 03 without AV carrying the offense in critical moments.

Recency bias hurt AV's PHoF candidacy over JE. It's that simple.

Let's restart the conversation.

Again, WTF is wrong with the existing discussion? For the 2nd time IT'S RIGHT HERE:

Bump to return this 'debate' to the 1st page because apparently there are a bunch of folks here who don't seem to grasp the idea the place has more than one friggin' page
Did you hear how excited Jules is about the up coming season?
