You are absolutely right. Rivers was a high volume low efficiency player, whose teams outside of the late 00’s weren’t even able to sustain goodness for more than one year at a time.
The lowered criteria for certain nominees drives me nuts. The Bus should not be in the Hall. Eli and Rivers shouldn't even be this far along. Cowher and Dungy should not be in the Hall.
 
VW is a worthy candidate. I'll echo the other posters who figure the voters don't care / know enough to reward talent and production in the cases of "lack of flashy stats".
 
Kraft and Belichick are deserving too
BB is deserving. My position has always been that owners aren't deserving, unless they were also top flight HCs or GMs who revolutionized the game. IMO, it's weird that JJ is in there when he's been the absolute poster child for mediocracy for decades (and as GM he's been so so as well - for years).
