Last year he had a high ankle sprain and the medical staff screwed up on his diagnosis. Pep is a horrible DC.
With that said he'll be 30 at the start of next season. If he gets hurt again or performs poorly he'll need to be moved.
Peppers is meh.
If Vrable knew of 2 better safeties pep and Dugger would have both been moved on from. There isn't anyone in FA better than peppers and Dugger. I saw clamoring for Simmons last season.. he's been on the market unsigned.I think Dugger can still be solid, but he is 30 and coming off an injury. If you get a solid offer for him take it.
I think Peppers might be cut in camp or traded for a late rounder.
No, every front 7 doesn't have 7 all pros. But most that are good have one single interior DL player who is good vs. the run or one single LB/box safety that is good in coverage or one singe EDGE defender who is good at setting the edge and winning one on one pass rush reps. We have none of that. IDK where people get this idea that Tonga is good??? He signed for practically the minimum for a reason.Your argument is Williams, Barmore, white and Tonga won't be problematic for OLs??? Spillane is one the best instinctively good LBs in the game.. and middle of the field is where they are going to have no choice but to throw.. that's what you want.. Dugger and peppers are excellent 8-10 yards around the LOS.. the roster right now if they had to play a game today is leaps and bounds better on defense. They have the chance when this roster is complete to be a very fierce front 7. Every teams front 7 ain't gonna have 7 all pros.
I will get back to you, my Microsoft surface **** stroked out and is in a coma. I'm not going to try to go into an in depth reply on my phone. And none of their olinemen were in the class of Joe Thomas, John Hannah or Jonathan Ogden with their superbowl wins. The closest we had during Brady's career was Logan Mankins, and won zero superbowls during that time.
Julian Edelman is second only to Jerry Rice in yards and receptions in the playoffs so I think it's disrespectful to not consider him elite in the playoffs.
Corey Dillon was a top 3 RB that season, so yes he was elite.
Last year we didn't have anyone that remotely was as good as Troy Brown, David Givens, Deion Branch, Danny Amendola, or Julian Edelman.
Wanting to have both a good offensive line and good WRs should be a no brainer. To only want a good oline with trash at the WR spot is pointless. You need time to throw it and you need guys that can get open and catch.
I can dig it…
I can dig it…
I’m a buckeye fan and he didn’t impress me at all when they played us this yearGrab my binky Kurtis Rourke in the 7th. 6'4", most accurate passer in the NCAA or nearly so, seemed immobile because he played the whole year on a torn ACL, then played with a splint on the thumb on his throwing hand after the nail was ripped off. Not a cannon arm, but a worker. Tough. Clutch. Leader. Makes few mistakes. Knows his limitations and plays to his strengths.
Yeah and that got him 600 yards receiving in 17 games, being the top option. If that is starting quality to you, then your opinion is very meaningless.Demario Douglas played well last year - dude had 4th best separation out of all WRs (4yds with 76% catch%). I don't think any of the 5 you mentioned had 4yds of separation in any season... heck only Amedola had a season with the Pats with better Catch%, and that was with only 29 targets.
Sorry to hear about your surface, that sucks.I will get back to you, my Microsoft surface **** stroked out and is in a coma. I'm not going to try to go into an in depth reply on my phone.
41st in receptionsYeah I don't understand why wanting to upgrade the WR room gets you called names.
There are almost 100 starting WRs in the NFL. You could argue nobody on the Pats roster was one of the top 100 WRs in the entire league last year. Think about that. It's insanity. Nobody is saying we need to have prime Calvin Johnson and Randy Moss. We have a critical deficiency that needs serious action. Yet too often calls for addressing it are met with namecalling and derisive comments like "shiny hood ornament." Makes no sense.
Considering who was throwing to him and that o-line, OC, and HC 600yds is a feat.Yeah and that got him 600 yards receiving in 17 games, being the top option. If that is starting quality to you, then your opinion is very meaningless.
I am in mourning even though the chunk of **** has driven me crazy for seven years. Im going to buy a new laptop on monday, but i will never buy a surface pro again.Sorry to hear about your surface, that sucks.
That is one of the ways to help your QBI like what Panthers have at WR
Xavier Legarret and Tet Mcmillan
2 absolute beasts
Thats how you help your qb
Yes. Meh. He played almost 1000 snaps in 2023. 70something tackles, 2 picks and 1 FF is meh.
Show last years highlights.
He'll be 30 in Oct and expendable. Civil suit pending.
