I think in terms of offensive focus/number of attempts thrown their way; I think Pop may end up more like an Amendola #4, than a #2; especially with this draft which is full of slots/Zs, and weak on X (the position they really need). If a decent/good WR is drafted, he is more likely to push Pop down a slot than anyone else.....its just generally where the WRs in this draft fit.
And I'm going to write it every time I answer about WRs....numbers only generally refer the number of targets a player gets, it has nothing to do with position. It used to be that #1 = X, that is just the way teams were build, but it has been sliding away from that for a while. Talking about positions, X,Z,Slot makes alot more sense when talking bout the draft. Everyone wants a receiver, puts multiples in their mocks, but 90% of them most naturally fix at the same positions...where are they going to play?
and yes, in the Brady/Josh days all WRs where supposed to know all the positions, doesn't change the fact that certain skills, athletic traits, and body types are better suited for certain positions and you waste some of their ability by forcing them into a bad fit.
