2025 Draft: QB lol

Let's just say I like him Mellot

Is he the new Julian Edelman? I'm kidding of course, but he might be worth a look at a WR convert - he did reps at WR and PR at his pro day.

His pro day numbers

And here's a quote from Bruce Feldman:

Also, you're "pegging" for him? That's commitment. You must want him real bad

Edelman part 2

Well shoot I could've told you that lol

It all starts with the QB. It was amazing what McCord brought to Syracuse football.
At around 33.30, what’s a “dolt”?
At 46.39 Gruden brilliantly skewers current day college football. “”They don’t let us coaches have any meetings. We’re always out recruiting. Damn NIL recruiting.”

And NIL? “Might as well let players run the team.”

So much gold here. And Gruden calls McCord “the best kept secret in the draft.”

I’m sorry but the parallels to Tom Brady are there. Both spin the ball preternaturally well. Both are being discounted in the draft process for being unathletic. And both are winners.

That Syracuse victory over Miami to end the season was every bit as big as Michigan’s victory over Alabama on Jan 1, 2000.

I love this kid. But I’m biased. Witnessed first-hand his heroics in Syracuse. He couldn’t duplicate that in the pros, could he?

Nope. Not athletic enough.

Kyle McCord=Tom Brady.

Good luck to him. I think he'd have to fall to the 6th to consider.

I know there may not be an elite QB here, but I love what this class has to offer:

Sanders, Dart, Ewers, Milroe, Leonard, McCord....Mertz, Rogers, Bachmeier, Jefferson

Don't get the last minute love for Shough...Also find it hard to believe Ward will live up to 1.1, he's raw....Give me McCord over Howard too

I'm baffled by some of the QB rankings this year. It's probably the aftereffect of watching so many years of Brady but when I see accuracy, poise and field vision listed as a passer's "weaknesses," I don't care about his "strengths."

I like the off-the-charts intangibles of Kurtis Rourke from Indiana. Played with a torn ACL, played with a throwing hand thumb in a splint after getting a nail torn off, and still slung the ball around with great accuracy. Maybe not enough of a cannon arm to be an NFL starter, but may last as a very solid backup. Reputation of being super smart, too. A winner.
