The refs jobbed them for sure, but I also felt as though the Bills were playing in a daze.

Agreed. We deserved to lose.

Bills had scored on both of their previous 2 drives and each of those drives was 10+ plays long.
Well with 1:30 to go and only 2 time outs, there really isn't time to reliably run a 10 play drive, now is there?
Exactly. Which is why its ridiculous to say the Bills "probably" lose if Andrews catches that ball.

Glad to see you agree with me.
Glad you agree.

Nothing personal against Allen, but this was one of the least deserved MVPs I can think of in NFL history. What happened was he took the lead early in the season and it just sort of stuck because he had a tremendous sympathy vote since it was "his turn" to win it and hadn't done so yet (compared to Lamar who had 2). It just boggles the mind how anyone can put:

307-483, 3,731 passing yards, 28-6 TD/INT, 531 yards rushing on 102 attempts (5.2 YPC) with 12 rushing TD's

over

316-474, 4,172 passing yards, 41-4 TD/INT, 915 yards rushing on 139 attempts (6.6 YPC) with 4 rushing TD's.

The ONLY stat Allen wins above is rushing TD's, but he still loses overall TD's 45 to 40.

Now do the year before (when Lamar won it):

Allen: 4,800 total yards, 44 TD's, 18 INT
Lamar: 4,500 total yards, 29 TD's, 7 INT

The only thing Lamar won was the INT race. Allen had more yards AND fifteen (15) FIF-TEEN more touchdowns.

So even if you want to minus a TD for every extra INT Allen had, Allen *still* would have had 4 more TD's than Lamar.

If Allen's stats sound familiar to you, it might be because Brett Favre won an MVP with similar stats (4,000 yards, 36 TD, 16 INT's). Allen actually had 800 more yards and 8 more TD's than when Favre won it.

There was also the year Rodgers won it where Allen had almost a thousand more yards and more TD's than Rodgers (Allen was 2nd place in MVP voting that year).

In my opinion - this year was a "get right" award. Allen deserved it mor than Lamr in 2023, but Lamar got it. Lamar deserved it more than Allen in 2024 but Allen got it.

evens out

You're moving the goal posts.

You say the Bills offense was struggling when they were imposing their will and bleeding time off the clock the previous 2 drives.

Now your saying that proves they reliably can't score in under 2 minutes despite Allen having the most game-winning drives since entering the NFL.

Back to reality (the actual game): The literal *drive before that*, the Bills got into field goal range in approximately 1 minute. They were deep into field goal range in 2 minutes.

If you just wanna troll, just say that.

Your jealousy is showing and its funny.

If you want my honest opinion, Allen *should* have won it in one of the years he didn't, and Lamar should have won it last year.

For example: Allen had like 15 more TD's than Lamar in the 2nd year Lamar won it.
I'm not jealous of a guy who continually comes up short in the playoffs. He is the Dak Prescott of the AFC. However, I don't fault him too much as his team is crap which I've said for years. He will never win until that team gets better. They had a window to overtake the Chiefs, but matched them with letting their roster erode. Keeping Diggs may have gotten them over the hump. The good news is you get to see Diggs again twice a year.
No, he fumbled once.

And its not like he just dropped the ball. It was PUNCHED out. Great play by the defense.
You are correct. I meant he had two plays that cost his team.

LOL!! It is hilarious to see how mad you are over the whole thing.

I guess as a Bills fan that's all you have to hang your hat on so it takes an outsized importance....

I'm jealous of a guy

I get it.

Allen has absolutely owned your team for closing in on a decade soon and that makes you upset. Its understandable.

So you turn to the only thing you can. "Derp, he's not deserving of that NFL MVP. The rest of the world is wronggggg. Wahhh"

The good news is you get to see Diggs again twice a year.

Diggs is toast. He was toast when we traded him a year ago. That was an ACL ago. I truly can't believe the Pats gave him what they did.

Not mad at all. Just flipping your troll posts in on themselves.

I'd put Steve McNair at #1 in 2003. I remember the media pushing for him just because.

Settle for a FG twice in a close game is not "imposing your will" on anyone. Period.

The Bills offense was struggling in the 2nd half. They had 6 points and 123 total yards. They couldn't "impose their will" on anything in the 2nd half of that game.
Now your saying that proves they reliably can't score in under 2 minutes despite Allen having the most game-winning drives since entering the NFL.
What I said - for the 3rd time now - is we have no idea whatsoever would have happened if Andrews caught that ball.

And you agreed with me, so why are you getting so upset here?

Hey *******, this is a Patriots forum and you're in here bragging about the Bills - which is pretty funny consider the Bills have absolutely nothing to brag about since the LBJ administration.

I'm not the one being the troll, dipshit.

No... you're clearly very, very mad about it. Everyone here can see how mad you are discussing the subject.

Those days are numbered. They had a nice a run. I'd actually be pretty pissed off if I were a Bills fan.
Diggs is toast. He was toast when we traded him a year ago. That was an ACL ago. I truly can't believe the Pats gave him what they did.
He was fine before the tear. The real issue with the Bills is that they are easy to defend once the playoffs roll around. They overachieved in 2024 stumbling their way into the AFCCG. Their time will run out soon. Pats are coming.

This is called projection.

Allen isnt deserving of MVP

Tom Brady 2017 (NFL MVP): 4,600 yards, 36 TD, 8 INT
Josh Allen 2024 (NFL MVP): 4,200 yards, 41 TD, 8 INT

Hmm

The real issue with the Bills is that they are easy to defend once the playoffs roll around

Bills have the 2nd highest scoring playoff offense of almost the past decade. Literally. Over the past 7 years, the Bills offense has scored the 2nd most points (only behind Chiefs) of any team in the NFL in the playoffs.

Troll is easy.

This is the NFL forum.

And im certainly not bragging. I said they deserved to lose in the playoffs, for example. I am simply defending what should be defended from trolls.

I don't post like this in the Pats side of the forum - out of respect.

Diggs has 4 seasons of 1,000 yards or more in Buffalo. Was on his way to another 1,000 yards last season before the ACL.. I saw no sign of him being toast.

Why would I be mad about who wins the MVP between Allen and Jackson? I really couldn't give a crap either way.

I am just laughing my ass off at how important it is to you and how mad it makes you. Meanwhile....

Tom Brady 2017 (NFL MVP): 4,600 yards, 36 TD, 8 INT
Josh Allen 2024 (NFL MVP): 4,200 yards, 41 TD, 8 INT

Hmm
Comparing Tom who sits in the pocket to get his yards while Allen inflated his by running around and goal line vulturing his rushing TD's is pretty funny. Also, different era where defenses are **** compared to the past.
Bills have the 2nd highest scoring playoff offense of the past decade.

Troll is easy.
Cool stats. Did you get that from PFF? You're also walking yourself into a checkmate here with a statement like that for a team who continually loses.

And no, they are easy to defend. It was clear when nobody could help out when defenses would focus all their attention towards Diggs. There's a reason he was so pissed off that one playoff loss to Cincy I think.

The Bills are a poor mans early 2000's Colts, which is a major insult to the Colts as they had some damn good teams.

TB12 record against the bills....

I wonder how many superbowl berths does Allen have?

Help with reading the stats. Lower numbers each year = bad trend.

Diggs Success rate
2022: 64.3
2023: 55.0
2024: 51.6

Diggs YPR
2022: 13.2
2023: 11.1
2024: 10.6

Diggs RPG
2022: 6.8
2023: 6.3
2024: 5.9

Diggs YPG
2022: 89.3
2023: 69.6
2024: 62.0

Diggs TD per game
2022: 0.68
2023: 0.47
2024: 0.38

Sorry to break it to you, but the Bills didn't trade Diggs because he was still an all-pro. They traded him because his talents had waned and they no longer outmatched the headaches he causes.

For most of his career, you delt with the Diggs headache because his talent made it worth. But then the talent slipped and it was no longer a good ratio.

Why do you think the Texans didn't keep him? Same reason.
