Per Gil Santos on the pre-game show on 98.5 the sports hub, both Shaun Ellis and Albert Haynesworth will start tonight for the Patriots tonight. This will be the first time either player has seen the field in a Pats uniform.
I definitely thought there could be a Shaun Ellis sighting tonight, however, I am surprised that Haynesworth will be playing tonight. I figured at this point, we would see Haynesworth on opening day against the Miami Dolphins.
In other news, Wes Welker who injured his neck last week against the Detroit Lions, was seen in his football pants and shirt stretching. This could be an indication that he is feeling better and could make an appearance. Although, keep in mind that Bill Belichick likes all players to participate in pre-game warm-ups and usually keeps it more regulated than other teams.
