Shadeur's stock is tanking

Can someone tell me what the appeal is with Membou to where we would pick this college RT at #4 to be our starting LT?
This is one of those high ceiling type of picks. He has those combine type measurables that @TommyD4207 touched on. He is a real freak of an athlete that has had his stock rise late. Boom or bust. He could be a future all-pro LT or he could find himself back at RT.

Unfortunately think you're spot on. Campbell will be a guard in the NFL.
While my instinct would be to send daily hate mail to Elliot via fedex if we take him at 4 and he’s a guard, I’ll admit…if he ends up an all-pro guard I’ll live with it.

Good guards are making tackle money anyway these days and the Pats need really good lineman regardless of position.

Can always grab Ersery, Connerly, Hollins, Trapillo or even Belton later to develop.

Basically of the left side ends up secured I don’t care HOW.

He has no experience at LT. Would rather take Campbell who has performed well in that role
I'm not advocating for Membou, merely answering the question posed by @The Gr8est. I see he could be a real high upside for anyone who takes him, and I think he's probably a day 1 starter at RT for someone.

Im so glad to have distanced myself from Drafts. Pumping up young guys who can become nothing but busts, having a favorites to be picked and then not happening, getting nervous about what other teams are doing, i do not miss it

The intuition in me says that, even if Hunter and Carter are gone, there will be demand for the 4th pick and the 2nd best QB in the draft. It's just that much of a premium position, and if have the smallest inkling that a guy can become the Franchise face, you have to throw everything to get it

Also, the same intuition makes me think we will get out of the 1st round satisfied, no matter what pieces fall. If we don't land a blue chip prospect, i still think we are getting a good haul and moving back

now watch them draft that freaking RB at 4

No ulcer for you then! =) I know exactly how you feel in regards to this and cannot fathom how player personnel copes....well other than a handful of valium and a bottle of SoCo. As for the RB thing? I was thinking K myself... :O

I get wanting to get value for their picks but it would kill me to have things fall apart, repeatedly, like they always do when teams try to jockey around for certain things or get cute as I and others say....

I had high hopes for him and he has looked good on the field but his attitude in press conferences worries me. I guess not surprising since Prime is his dad but a QB needs a certain level headedness that I think other positions can afford not to have.

He is also on the thin side but that's fixable.

Sometimes the best drug is going away from the distress lol

But Im with you brother Paul, surely when they start announcing the picks im going to be more opinionated than ever, even though it will be completely baseless

Don't know about you, but Jordan Richards was the last drop on caring for Drafts for me. Part of me still think BB already had that bit of "F U" mentality which became detrimental later here

Membou in the top 10 is a fine choice if someone expect him to start at RT and eventually mover over to LT.

100% absolutely, stepping away from it all makes it much easier, for me at least. Just have to find our happy medium....balance things out etc. 2014 was the draft that did it for me. Taking NoKneesEase, not only in the first but drafting him period was criminal He must have been really good at handjobs or something because I have seen dudes with FAR less injuries (way more upside) not get signed. Hell, a lot of times a SINGLE knee injury will disqualify a player...but dude?

Dominique Easley Injury History

How in the hell? I'm curious if this runs in the family or if they can even tell if that is the case. I just have a hard time with it only being shots taken. You'd think that if it was just taking a bad shot, he could strengthen things up. The rehab he would have to go through would be absolute hell, for me at least....then having to do it as many times that he did, tells you....IT'S NOT WORKING! Shoulda tried something else...pickleball perhaps.

Edit: And this is just the injuries we know about. It could have been double/triple....

Also he's 20.
It's not out of the realm that he grows another inch or two.

So, we should draft a RT at 4 (or 5-8), hope that he can convert to being a solid starter at LT in Training Camp, and also hope that grows an inch or two.

This seems like a lot for a 2nd round prospect who performed well in underwear.
=========
I prefer others like Campbell, Banks and Conerly.

lol...you may want to look at a growth chart. He has a better chance of winning the mega lottery.

I guess he could always do this.....

FWIW, here is video of Sanders saying he is getting drafted by the Giants. He could just be joking. Or he could be mistaken in the Giants' interest.

I hope Shedeur upsets that man and is drafted by the Giants.

Omg please now if we pass on Hunter or Carter holy ish.
Then Campbell better be the best LT in the universe.

Maybe he was talking about round 2 or 3?
