Shadeur's stock is tanking

All the hype about Colorado players is because Primetime Sanders is the HC there. Hunter and Shadeur are going to be NFL Stars because Deon told you that they will be.

Take away Deon and these guys are sucking hind teet.
Sheduer maybe a little bit but the lack of other QBs this year is a pretty driving factor.

Hunter is completely different his being the top WR prospect and the top CB prospect was not accomplished by the Deion hype machine. Now if you want to argue he's getting over hyped because of the 2 way thing and you just don't believe that's realistic at the NFL level that's fine but Hunter earned every bit of his high stock by his play on the field.

FWIW, I heard that the Titans had a reasonable expectation that he would end up a guard but wanted him anyway.
They were looking for Taylor Lewan's replacement at left tackle with the 11th overall pick but took Peter knowing that regardless where he ended up he was a safe pick. This describes Will Campbell perfectly... and much like Skoronski he likely will end up being a pro bowl guard. Not sure the Patriots can take good but not what they need at #4 overall.

Dante Scarnecchia has made it clear that this isn’t an issue for tackles who know how to use their arms/hands aggressively to get into the chests of pass rushers, and that’s exactly what Campbell does. And his arms actually did meet the desired 33’ at his pro day, which could be called into question, except for the fact that this happened consistently at pro days across the country. The Combine measurements were off, otherwise the pro day measurements would have been similar, not consistently off by a half inch at the pro days.

I think valid arguments can be made for taking Hunter or Carter based off of a BPA draft approach, which is ultimately the best way to build a team. But if it isn’t either of those 2 guys then it should be either Campbell or Membou, provided they don’t take a 2nd to move down a bit, also a move that a valid argument can be made for.
Being able to learn technique is more important than arm length, also important is how they handled themselves vs top competition. Campbell played in the SEC so I doubt he’ll bust. Banks is being underrated IMO because he has all the physical tools, played against top competition but the results weren’t always there. So do I want them to take Campbell or Membou at 4? No. It doesn’t make sense to take them that high. If you can’t get Hunter or Carter then trade down a few spots and if Campbell falls to say 9 then take him.

I think this is all smoke being put out there by teams in the top 10 such as Raiders Saints and Jets who don’t have a long term QB and maybe the Steelers. Dart is going to go within the top 10 at this point, his stock is skyrocketing for whatever reason. Sanders won’t fall out of the top 5, for sure.

I would rather see them trade back, pick up a 2nd, and still get their tackle. However if all anyone offers is a 3rd round pick I would tell them to pound sand, stay at 4, and take the highest rated tackle. It’s simply not worth passing on your top rated tackle for a 3rd round pick.

What if Simmons is their top rated tackle and slated to go R1 15 to 20?

Not a big fan of all the getting cute /trading down and HOPING nonsense, the Pats need a LT that will step in day 1, this is a SERIOUS NEED, we have a decent prospect at QB, let's give him a chance please.
IDGAS if people think it's a reach, WGAF?

it's great in theory, but you need the right dance partner, which is not a given. Too many fans/posters are just assuming they'll be able to trade back to 6-8. I'm not so sure.

You ever think there’s a possibility there is no sure fire safe pick at LT in the draft? Just because you take a left tackle at 4 doesn’t mean he’s gonna actually be good. It seems you just think you automatically get a top talent at 4. Don’t you think they wanted to sign one on free agency? There wasn’t a top talent available, Stanley re signed before free agency. Regarding other tackles available, yea they could have paid a lot to get one (one of the moores or cam Robinson), but just because you pay a guy top dollar doesn’t make them good

To be clear, if someone offered a 3rd to move down and pick Membou, Campbell or Banks, you would tell them to pound sand and then draft Membou, Campbell or Banks?

It only takes one. And that would be a fun one. I'm rooting for him to end up in Dallas.

Jerry and Deion reunited?

Yes. I would take either Membou or Campbell. I would rather have my first choice at tackle than another 3rd round pick.

Lmao,
I said a swap of picks for Pickens I never said 4 for Pickens.
Yes I would do 4 for Williams 100 percent.
I mentioned Diggs months ago.
was I wrong then?
Great College players don’t always turn to great Pros the tangibles the attributes matter. That lack of size, length, could be something no matter how hard he works is just a disadvantage.

I would 100 percent take Simmons over him.
Simmons looks like a 10 year left tackle.
I guess we will have to wait for the draft but I feel 4 is too early for any tackle especially one with question marks how his game translates.

Simmons looks like a 10 year left tackle? I’ll bet you have never even seen him play. And his arms are 33”, the same as Campbell’s. You simply throw as much **** at the wall as you possibly can and hope something sticks, it’s really ridiculous.

Will Campbell will be fine, he played against the BEST college players, and came out on top consistently.
There are others that can get it done as well.
I'd prefer they don't try and get cute, make the pick.
WTF said they didn't try in Free Agency, I never said they didn't try, where is that fkn idiocy coming from?

Maybe Vrabel is fine with either Membou or Campbell or even Banks. With no clear first choice, it does NOT hurt to move to 6 or 7.

Simmons had a torn Patella
A torn patella tendon or dislocated kneecap is a serious injury.
Same injury as Cole Strange
We are still not sure if Strange will stay healthy

Sure I can’t see them trading back for an additional third though.

Can someone tell me what the appeal is with Membou to where we would pick this college RT at #4 to be our starting LT?

He's 20 with measurables off the charts, and has pretty decent technique in pass protection.

You are not wrong that they may not be able to find a partner.

OTOH, it is a mistake to treat the draft as 32 rational actors always making the best possible decisions for their teams.
