This is the roster they ate going to put on the field in September ?
It’s the roster they have today and there is very little left to improve that WR corps. I think it’s appropriate to be concerned.
And if we are relying on the draft I’ll point out the guy picking the groceries select the worst WR on the field in the NFL last year and one who couldn’t make it on the field behind a wr group worse than Ohio State.

So no the roster isn’t final, but the best opportunities have gone away.

You would think over the 15+ years youve been here that you'd realize being a whiny, smarmy c$nt isn't a good personnae

Make me GM for a day, we will have. Franchise LT 4 good WRs and a crying Kraft, I’ll spend the cap, trade future resources, move players a year too early as opposed to a year too late.

I wouldn’t leave Patriots place.
It would be exciting times, and at times maddening, when I wake up like you know we don’t really need a third in 2027 but we could use a really good third tight end.
This is excellent.

Tell me, oh grand wizard… where are you getting these 5 studs ?

You would think that over the 15+ years you’ve been here that someone pointing out and discussing the shape of the roster, the teams needs and how it could improve wouldn’t result in you crying and calling them names.

They were also 10 win teams last year. That makes them more attractive destinations for free agents.

I'm not excusing Kraft's lack of non-spending. I think we still should have offered premium money to get playmakers in New England, but one can see why the sales pitch for those 3 teams is better than ours because of winning potential.

Also it feels frustrating, as far as I can tell that we're not IN for any starting caliber left tackles in free agency.

Looks like we are banking on the draft to fill WR/LT. And we haven't been successful in those areas for what a decade now?

Somebody take a quick trip in the Delorean, then bring back a magazine listing all the pro-bowlers and all-pros from this year's draft and sneak it into the Patriots war room. They might need a lot of extra help this year!

Fee free to name the quality left tackles and WR’s in free agency?

Odd how no one here has been able to stand you under multiple screen names though, isn't it?

but go ahead, beat the same tired horse over and over.....I'm sure we will definitely realize once and for all that you are in fact the smartest poster here, ever....

And let's be clear.....discussion is never your goal.....

Feel free to ignore me, or better yet make posts about football rather than posters.

Immediately after mentioning Lockett, Fowler said they are looking into WR trade options as well
That’s good news

I do wonder if this rumor is just them doing their due diligence and checking with every available WR so they can make a decision after the draft.

If this is instead of pursuing a trade for Aiyuk or getting Diggs when healthy, I don't like it. If this is in addition to those, ok, sign me up.
This is the fallback plan for Diggs, who was the fallback plan to Godwin, who was the fallback plan to Higgins, who was the fallback plan to Aiyuk and Brown before him.

Also, it wouldn't surprise me if their interest in Locket was leaked to pressure Diggs.

I’m guessing they feel somewhat confident that Hunter will be there at 4. Then they can maneuver into the 1st again for a tackle.

This doesn't excite me but whatever.

I suspect they’re getting well prepared for any potential outcome. Hunter or an LT or a trade back. Vrabel doesn’t strike me as a guy who likes to be caught off guard.

If you are the smartest guy in the room, you’re in the wrong room.

Silkema just did a post free agency mock on PFF, and he had the Patriots trade back with the Bears for the #41, then had them taking Campbell at #10. Membou, Banks, and Simmons were all still on the board. By the Draftek value chart the 38 is worth 520, and the 41 is worth 490. Combined this brings them enough draft capitol to go up to Atlanta at the 16 spot, which gives them what they would need to get Mathew Golden, or a second offensive lineman if they decided to just bulk up the OL as much as possible. To me the suggested trade with Chicago would be the perfect draft day move, as they could come away with their starting Left Tackle and a starting wide receiver.
