Yeah let’s not do Agholar again please. Lockett would be fine though as a WR3.Lackluster, Nelson Agholar would be more exciting.

What does “cap space we had that to go 6 or 7 million more a year on top O line talent” mean?Or I would offer the second or third rounder for Michael Pittman, or Jaylen Reed.

Even if it's no A level if we have to overpay to protect Drake so be it.
But you said you’d acquire “a franchise LT and 4 top WRs”… so where are the other 4 players besides this one WR coming from?
You said you’d get 4 WR and a tackle …
I do not think Lockett would be a good signing. I think he is still good and that fact that he wasn't targeted as much has more to do with DK and JSN. Dude still opens, he had a 42% route win rate and averaged 2.7 yards of separation and 1.36 separation when targeted. He can win vs man but is much better against Zone. I am not sure he is the guy the WR room needs other than he has done it at a high level for several years.Lockett's numbers have gradually dipped across the board the last two seasons and you can't blame it on health (he's only sat for 3 games his whole career). Success rate particularly. Not the player he used to be (which was a high end NFL WR2 at his peak). I'd pass unless they plan to pair him with a better WR afterward. If 2020 Damiere Byrd does it for you then I guess Lockett is for you.
How did Kraft show he was "cheap again". God I'm getting so tired of that little meme that has turned from a comment into the truth just because it's been randomly repeated so often without comment.Once again kraft super cheap. Patriots trying to find value at WR by dumpster diving
Lockett is completely washed up. What are we doing?
Poor Drake Maye

I don't understand how that is necessarily a bad thing as long as them settling for lesser talent is still valuable to the team. Or should they not make any moves if they get rebuffed? I mean that is a wild statementBiggest problem with patriots front office. When they miss out on a quality wide receiver, they simply settle for lesser talent
Sadly, some on here would do just that. What does “cap space we had that to go 6 or 7 million more a year on top O line talent” mean?
And you’re saying trade pick 4 for DK Metcalf, their 2nd for Michael Pittman and their 3rd for Jaylen Reed. So… you now have practically no draft picks anymore… and you still have an LT and a 4th WR left to get
From my perspective the discussion about Kraft being cheap has nothing to do with what he paid for the team or the stadium or patriot place or gifts for his grandchildren. How did Kraft show he was "cheap again". God I'm getting so tired of that little meme that has turned from a comment into the truth just because it's been randomly repeated so often without comment.
Was he cheap when he came up with $187MM to buy the Patriots and was then ridiculed for paying so much. And it was only because of him that we didn't have to fight for some expanchise team in the early 2000's and seeing the Pats playing in St. Louis. Or maybe he was cheap when he paid for that new stadium with money AGAIN out of his own pocket and all the hundreds of millions in upgrades without asking for anything out YOUR pocketbooks, like every other NFL own has done since. Maybe get a little get a little thank you there. Or how about all the other things he did for the franchise like being the first to have their own planes. One of the first to have their own nutritionist. When they need a hill for practice....there was a hill and so many others.
Labeled forever because they couldn't figure out how to pay Tom Brady $25MM for 2 years. None of the yahoos have ever explained to me how the Pats who played the 2021 season with no cap space paying Cam $1MM were supposed to pay Tom $25 for the next 2 years. How many players would have had to be let go to keep Tom (assuming Tom ultimately wanted to stay with an aging crumbling roster)
OK sorry for the rant. The Krafts have done more for the Pats and the NE community and local charities than any other pro franchise in the area. So much stuff with so little fan fair and there are a few who really treat them like dirt. It's fine to criticize decisions thy made. I certainly haven't liked all of them, but this stoops personally and dare I say anti-sematic
Hey the BIG LIE is for real folks. If your balls are big enough, and you say it often enough and consistently enough a significant amount of people will start to believe it. Moderator please feel free to edit or delete this if you think I went over the line
Cowden is a highly regarded evaluator. Stretch is a jack of all trades. I think the deals you’re (and a lot of people are) talking about require some skill at wheeling and dealing. It’ll be interesting if we’ve gotten better at that from last year.

I hope you're right. The story of Wolf relying on the Bills to allow us to trade back into round 1 of last year isn't inspiring a lot of faith.I just think that between all of them they have a clear plan to turn them into a contender, and will get it done. Belichick actually credited Wolf for the draft day trade that brought them Barmore.

Lockett is another shrimp WR.Rather have Diggs
Why is Wolfe still around then?Wolf isn’t in charge anymore, Vrabel is. Wolf is essentially functioning as one of the guys informing Vrabel, and Vrabel makes the final decisions.
Is it possible to be worse at wheeling and dealing than last year?Cowden is a highly regarded evaluator. Stretch is a jack of all trades.
