Myles Garret has a new deal with the Browns

This potentially affects the Pats in two ways:

- This means that Abdul Carter has a better chance to fall to #4. Still not likely, but if the Titans take Ward or Hunter over Carter, it is unlikely the Browns take Carter at #2. Also, could mean they reach for Sanders at #2 if the Titans take Ward #1.
- The Bengals are screwed with JaMarr Chase. They promised to make him the highest paid non-QB in the NFL and that number just jumped $5 million a year. Can they now afford to resign Tee Higgins or are they going to have to trade him?
Can someone help me reach my pockets$$$

Abdul Carter scares me. Drafting him with that foot injury is a HUGE HUGE risk. Without it I was all in. I wouldn't be mad if that's where the Patriots can trade back from.

Between the Crosby money and this payout the market for pass rushers has gotten out of hand. Granted they are both great defenders but Jesus.
It is getting out of hand, but how do you stop it?

Dr. Tibbs, have you seen the X-rays and the extent of the injury and why he wasn't feeling anything?

Carter’s injury is actually traditionally one that doesn’t have a major impact on long term career. He’ll be fine.

“I want to win a Super Bowl”

Translation: “I want more money”
Perfectly put! Is why I'm more optimistic than ever that we can get guys in FA.. Cleveland has no QB and was able to keep thier all pro DE simply by paying him... we have a QB and HC. I like our chances.

From the Browns board.

Garrett's agent Nicole Lynn of Klutch Sports also told me that Garrett wanted it done by the start of free agency so he could help recruit free agents.

ROFL...You have got to be kidding. Pay me $204,796,125 total value and I'll help you recruit.

When the NFL Owners decide to stop it. The Commissioner and what calls itself The NFL, has always been the owners. When they do the next CBA, there needs to be major changes across the board. The question is, do the owners have the balls to do it?

Something in the water in Cleveland. These people are batshit crazy. Nobody will be going to the Broons because they have Myles Garret.

Try recruiting someone with Winston for a QB or Watson..

I see a lot of people lol but the browns are light years ahead of us in terms of roster.

Unless you’re a QB and are the face of the franchise, you will not have pressure to win and your legacy won’t be criticized as much. Because of this, the goal for all of these other players are to get paid the most amount of money. 99.9% of players don’t care about championships like fans do.

With that said, NFL contracts wouldn’t get so out of hand had they not allowed mediocre players with no accomplishments to their name get large deals. See Robert Hunt last year. NBA does this right. You can’t pay a bench player top end money just because you feel like it.

It would take a collective effort of all 32 owners and I don't see that happening.
That's exactly what it would take (I commented as much earlier).

Just looking back at players in almost any pro sport who had a stress fracture it "typically" becomes a bigger issue at some point during their career. Initially surgery was a possibility but then that changed. Who's to say post draft suddenly it's a necessity and your player at pick #4 overall isn't available nearly all his rookie season. A RISK, like I said which would suck big time.

Stress fractures are BAD NEWS

regarding what?
Sorry came in late and I am intrigued.
It was asked how to stop the insane contracts. We commented that it would be a collective effort amongst the 32 owners and it won't happen
