Does this move make it safe to assume they don't draft carter or could we be seeing the formation of a scary pass rush duo.

Even if they take Carter, it's not going to make a difference in terms of wins and losses. For the Patriots, you hope he is there. As Carter would make a difference in terms of wins and losses.

Hopefully that puts an end to the "we can't get him cause he wants to go to a winning team" crap that's peddled, maybe someone who's a veteran and no longer an elite player who's now playing year to year for sub 10m a year contracts still does but for the top players in their prime, money cures all.

The Patriots can get any of these guys if they pay enough, don't believe the weathers bad, not a contender crap you hear, if they trade for him and pay DK Metcalf the most money he will come here extend his contract and all that weather nonsense will vanish.

He must value money way more than winning. Because there is no QB they can draft/sign/trade for that will get them out of the North cellar.
I don’t know. The Steelers are not that impressive and the Bengals seem to be making questionable decisions lately, and were barely .500 last year anyway. If they hit on a rookie QB then they might be able to get something going. They were a playoff team with Joe Flacco year before last.

Players are getting way too good at this. Publicly throwing a fit is the easiest way to either get paid or traded and then paid.

Interesting. On the one hand it shows loyalty. On the other hand it shows stupidity. Either way the man has clearly decided Benjamins out rank Lombardis at this stage of his career. He may be rich but he'll remain a loser. Kinda sad.

The browns are truly stupid

Getting to be like the nba. It worked great for Garrett.

Stupid contract for a stupid team.
Stupid contract for a stupid team that loves giving out stupid contracts.

They are still a useless expansion team.

Interesting this impacts the other useless team in that division
“He is going to end up being the No. 1 paid non-quarterback in the league,” director of player personnel Duke Tobin said regarding Chase.

When Tobin said it, the non-quarterback floor came from Vikings receiver Justin Jefferson, who’s making $35 million per year in new money. This week, Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby bumped that to $35.5 million. Now, the new deal given by the Browns to defensive end Myles Garrett could kick the number to at least $40 million per year.

Could be a sign they're serious about Shedeur. I think for Garrett to sign they had to sell him a vision of being competitive and that includes a plan at QB. And they pretty much can only afford a rookie there.

I mean, he's good - but no non-QB is worth that.
In fact, I have a hard time believing a QB is worth that - or only a dual threat top 5 QB.
The teams that win consistently have a solid D & O front... FRONT, that means 2 or more dominant players on both Lines.
That takes money. Just above average QB's can win with that - Exhibit A = Jalen Hurts.
Others - Goff, Dak, Darnold, Wilson (above average, but not great QB's with good OL's and DL's)

Money talks I keep repeating this
They say they want a contender etc but money talka

Between the Crosby money and this payout the market for pass rushers has gotten out of hand. Granted they are both great defenders but Jesus.

More like owners are getting dumber and listening to the fans way too much.

Micah Parsons about to get paid
