No brainer. Elite talent. Team Leader would jump start rebuild. No one at 4 is close to his talent level.
Would browns accept it probably not, might have to throw in a 26 2nd rounder
He has Reggie White like talent

He won't come here. He is literally leaving because he wants to win a Super Bowl. We try to trade for him and his agent will tell us not to. If we still pursue it, him and his agent will straight up put out a statement to the whole world saying "we told this team Myles has no interest playing here, if they trade for him he will sit out and they will waste their pick".

On top of that, he's going to be 30 next year. We won't be competing for a Super Bowl until he's 31 at the earliest and probably closer to 32-33. You are burning the 4 and paying a big contract to get maybe 1 or 2 years if you are lucky of him while you are in contention, you might only get one.

It's a move that will never happen and makes very little sense for us. If he was 25 maybe you consider if he's not set on going to a contender

Best player on a 4-win Browns team. Not sure how being the best player on a 4-win Patriots team is going to help enough short and long term to be worth it, nor is it what he’s looking for. He’s wasted enough years in Cleveland and wants to play for a contender now. The Pats are not a Myles Garrett away from contention. This is not a Super Bowl window they are in. Better to save the picks to take the next generation of Patriots players.

I don't understand why everyone wants to give up on number 4 who will be a cornerstone player for next 4+1 years on a rookie contract .

I don't care if Carter or Hunter or not available just draft Graham or Johnson with it or trade down to grab an extra 1st 2nd rounder. No way should this be used as a trade chip for a veteran unless we get a stud vet less than age 28 and another round 1 pick back in future .

After the last few years it's pretty obvious that some people in this fanbase will totally break if the #4 overall ends up being bust and would rather hedge their bets on a proven vet even if he isn't out of this world or trade down and get some capital so they can stomach it if they get some mid round pick that can't pan out.

But unfortunately that's what the draft is. It's an educated guess that could work out amazing or go up in flames. You just have to hope you have the right guys in the room taking the guess and that the metrics and guardrails they put on it are effective.

I’m glad to hear that Myles Garrett is 21-24 years old and playing on a $9M per year contract. At least I assume that’s the case since you’ve mentioned talent level as the only difference.

Considering Garrett's whole routine is he wants to leave Cleveland so he can play for a contender, I have to think this would be an absolutel disaster.

Myles Garrett wants a new huge contract negotiated by Clutch. He has congenital foot problems that are getting worse every year, so much so that he doesn't practice at all during the season. Trading him would also cost 36M against the the Brown's cap and Cleveland is already in cap hell. It would be very difficult for them to trade as they will need to cut other players like Conklin.

The Pats need to pick a salary controlled player at 4. I figure Tenn will take Ward or Carter. The Browns will pick whoever Tenn doesn't and out of desperation the NYG will take Sanders. That leaves Hunter or Graham for NE.

No one in this class is even close to the talent level of him, and he probably has 5 - 6 good years left so I’d trade 4, but there’s about 0 chance he’d accept a trade to the Pats.

Most of the NFL insiders have been saying that they are hearing the only 2 all pro potential talents in this draft are Hunter and Carter and that they will likely be gone before the Pats pick.

The Chiefs will work some more Devil magic to put Myles on the same DLine as Chris Jones

Absolute insanity. Trading high picks for big name big money players before you are a true contender is exactly how the Dolphins screwed themselvves and their future. They traded for Tyreek Hill, Bradley Chubb, and Jalen Ramsey. Haven’t even sniffed a conference championship game, and are now losing their best players ( Wilkins and Van Ginkel) because they can’t afford to sign them.

Terrible idea. The 4th pick buys you an increased percentage guy franchise caliber on a cheaper contract. Trading for Garret guarantees you a top tier contract. The trades warrants a mid to low first rounder if anything.

There are trades to be made of there and money to be spent but you don't give up capital in draft pick plus salary cap. Hell just draft the Michigan kid or penn at and you get cheaper player with less milage

I am surrounded by pot shops. And none of them has any product that could get me as high as some of the poster’s here. Now George Pickens is Randy Moss, and Myles Garrett is Reggie White.

I’m going to go out looking right now, I have to get in the right frame of mind for my Cole Strange is John Hannah post I’m writing later today.
