Tell me about Pittsburgh LT Dan Moore.

Who sucks, Dan Moore or Cam Robinson, or both?
Someone call my name??

In which case you sign him to a lower end 2 year deal and draft a tackle.

My hope is still for Ronnie Stanley and draft Membou.
I agree with that. 2 year deal is perfect he could stick around long enough for Vrabel to really put his imprint on the organization. Stanley yeah love to have him. Is that true the Ravens are going to let him test FA?

It’s starting to look that way. If they can sign him they will have addressed their most glaring need, at least for the short term. Then, it will come down to whether Travis Hunter is available at 4 or not. If he is they will have the choice of taking him as a WR, and fixing that need, or passing and taking Membou, and fixing RT for a couple of seasons, and then either moving him to LT when Stanley is injured or done, or drafting a LT high in a future draft to pair with him.

Because they need to fix LT, not draft a guy that might fix it then find out he cant make the change during preseason and have to scramble only to have Lowe starting again in week one.

I want to go into training camp knowing who is starting at LT, not watching camp videos wondering who is playing LT this session..... honestly that is the same thing with the whole line.
We’ve gone into camp thinking we knew who was starting at LT only to come out of camp wondering who was playing LT that season. There’s always uncertainty and risk.

That’s why I’d favor doubling down and signing an FA LT plus drafting a rookie candidate to develop as LT. Gives time and removes pressure from the rookie, and worst that happens is you end up with two good LTs. That does not seem like a bad thing, good enough to be worth the roster slot and cap space.

Exactly. That sounds most likely to result in a good outcome. Sign a vet and draft a rookie is a good recipe for developing depth quickly, at a reasonable price.

Got it. Do you see at any point us taking Campbell if Hunter or Carter isn't there.. ?

It's said Dan Moore gives up a lot of sacks and kinda struggles in Pittsburgh: if they let him walk that's telling.
Wolf loves every aspect of this scouting report

The only OT's in the top 50 are Stanley, Robinson and Moore. I'd be very happy with or two of these.
======
Others in top 100 are Mekari, Wills and Moses.
======
It is up to the coaches to build an OL around whoever we get. But let's not make believe that 2 of these wouldn't be a massive improvement. We STILL would likely add a draftee.
====
Of course, we are much more likely to get only one.

Wolf will say Dan Moore gives us the best chance to win.

He’ll be competing in training camp to start week 1, he’s a jag.

Stanley now off the market due to signing 3 year extension.

So our best options will be Moore or Cam Robinson?

Sign Jedrick Willis, Oli Udoh and a third guy like Mekhi Becton or an old vet like Morgan Moses or Cam Robinson to be safe... check out potential trade options also.

Marrone will have significant input on any decision about signing Robinson. He drafted him and coached him for 4 years. I’m not a fan and I would hope they wouldn’t give him anything more than a 2 year deal, and would still draft Membou at 4.
If we sign Robinson we can wait and draft a LT solution in 2026. Maybe Graham or another is a better choice at #4. Most draft boards have Membou at #10 or #11. Or trade down if anyone wants to trade up.

Trading down for an OL seems more and more right.

Membou or Simmons. Simmons has LT experience.
A lot depends on his health. Is he likely to miss almost all of 2025?

Presuming that we had Robinson, I would want to draft Simmons with our 2nd pick.

For ME, Membau is great prospect to start at RT, so having Robinson, drafting Membau in the top 10 PLUS a Simmons in the 2nd pick would make sense.

I agree, but I think your earlier post was also correct. Who knows when Simmons will be picked so it is really hard to trade down for him. If Simmons Pro Day goes well, he will be Top 15 IMO. LTs are too valuable for him to drop much.

I'm not liking the alternatives.

If Simmons is healthy and looks like a top 15 player at his pro-day, then I could see us drafting him in the top 10.
