Aside from a few first rounders, this is a rough WR class in my opinion.

Terrance Marshall and Rondale Moore are a couple guys you might target in round 2, although both have hype for going earlier.

For sleepers, I like Josh Imatorbhebhe (one of the few actual X's in the class) and Cornell Powell (this guy can do everything, and I can't believe no one is talking about him).

Imatorbhebhe is great! He reminds me a little of Josh Gordon (not saying he'll hit that ceiling, just talking about style). Good call. Powell is someone I go back and forth on, and I'd be open to being convinced if you have the time to give a more in depth scouting report on him. I prefer Amari when I watch their games, but that might be because I'm biased toward short, stout players with after the catch ability.

That's a surprisingly good comparable for Imatorbhebhe. He's a bit of an enigma for me, but there's definitely enough that I would take him over the scores of slot receivers that fill up the middle rounds.

Ok, Powell... He's one of those guys that his strong enough to win with strength, quick enough to win with quickness (more short area than long distance), and good enough with his hands to catch contested balls. He also has plus potential as a blocker. Is he amazing at any one thing? Not really, but he fits in well as reliable receiver that you can go to for the short and intermediate game, and he's going to give you run after the catch ability because he'll overpower CBs. Lesser known fact: he has 32" arms, which are as long as guys who are 6'2" or 6'3" (ironically, Trevor Lawrence has 32" arms too), and 10" hands. Both are pluses. His best fit is probably in a system that runs lots of mid-deep angular routes, stressing seams and YAC. Think the Giants with Nicks/Cruz/Manningham. Also figures heavily into the Kyle Shanahan system and the Sean Payton system.

marshall is the real deal. Could he play the “Z” receiver spot for us?

who is the elusive “Z” receiver that fits best in our offense?
I don't know, what is our offense?

Are we trying to run the Tom Brady offense (also, which year... there were many variants) or the Cam Newton offense?

I think a guy like Rondale Moore would be good. The offense was always at its best when there was someone to take the top off (Moss, Cook), although that came from the X. The other main priority is dominating the in/out game. I mentioned earlier that Shanahan's offense is very angular, seeking to stretch seams and get really fast guys loose after the catch. With Brady, it was a bit more about rhythm and having guys who would be unguardable out of their breaks (Edelman, Welker). It's hard to me to judge that kind of thing without pouring over tons and tons of tape, and even then, those Patriot success stories were undrafted anyways. One unique emphasis here is having an extremely powerful lower base. Look at Welker's and Edelman's lower half. Very thick and capable of making those tight cuts. There are a lot of thin slot receivers out there who have better long speed but can't apply the same amount of force to cut on a dime.

- Rondale Moore actually has great cutting ability, so that makes him a fit at X (burner) and Z/slot (short and intermediate).
- Tylan Wallace is just in general a WR that I think will succeed, but he's a bit of a different profile than what I just described. He's better at deep routes. Might fit at X, but he doesn't have quite the same physical profile as Moore or Brandin Cook, so you'd have to use more finesse routes than simply streak, hook, post.
- Amari Rodgers strikes me as a star for Z. Hard to tackle, thick, lightning quick in the slot.
- I don't think Cornell Powell fits the Pats offense super well, as he's half Z and half X. However, he'd still be good because I just think he's a good receiver.
- Obviously, Jaylen Waddle would be a superstar at Z.

I think the nature of the Z for the Pats is that it isn't super demanding physically and many people could fit it by those parameters, but it's harder to find guys with intangibles for reading coverages and reliable hands to keep drops to a minimum and give the QB trust to throw him open.

I think this WR is probably a bit overhyped, but I still think it's a very good class

In part why the WR FA class was dead

I really like this class. There's not a whole lot of elite WR1 talent but I think there's a bunch of really talented smaller guys who can be really effective in the league. I think there will be players undrafted this year that would go in the 4th or 5th most other years.

Tutu is a really small receiver, but he is so dynamic. He literally is a threat to score every time he touches the ball.

his size causes him to drop, but would he be in bb’s board?

Yeah there are a few of them in this draft - Devonta Smith, Elijah & Rondale Moore, Dwayne Eskridge, Shi Smith et al...

Bill's board is so damn small, to our great disadvantage, so who knows who's on it and who isn't?

moore of ole miss is one of my favorite slot receivers in this draft. He has above average speed and can get open in a phone booth. Electric with the ball in his hands.

@BaconGrundleCandy thoughts on Simi Fehoko?
He's all projection. Very little experience, like 4-5 games started in his career I believe. A seasons worth of games give of take.

You like him bc he's ball of clay so to speak. Height, weight, speed. He does have Claypool vibes to an extent but not as polished or good vs press. He can work out wide, slot but needs to work better off contact off the line and at the top of route so everything isn't a fight. Take him a minute to really get going but he can move for sure. Not much elusiveness but hes so raw he could improve on things like a swim move to separate. Develop a better sense timing. Develops off the line & in/out of his breaks. That will go a long way to create a little separation and space to use his speed. Hands could improve some. He just doesn't have a lot of experience, game is fast, getting faster. Think he spent time on a mission overseas. Depending on how much you like him like him mid-round guy.
