Everyone from ownership, front office, coaches, and players are doing their best to make this team as humanly unlikeable as possible.

I remember last year when both free agents and possible assistant coaches described the Patriots interview and selling process as the worst one they endured of all the teams they traveled to. It sounded like a full room and a corporate approach, although that's just from trying to figure out what the visitors meant from their descriptions. They all talked about how it drove them away from the Patriots.

Seems like the visitors absolutely sniffed out the dysfunction.

I'm a bad interviewee in the sense that whenever I sniff out a problem when the interviewers ask a pointed question, I will "go there" and ask them about their culture, even though I've been told never to do this.

I just want to save myself the time even if it blows me up at some places which might actually be right for me. I don't want bad situations. I'd rather get paid less.

The Patriots have a culture problem and that starts from the top.

I well remember those days. And sadly, it can not only get that bad, but it can get worse (the team could eventually get sold and a new owner could move it out of New England).

And let's not forget those fabulous Victor Kiam Commercials. "Hi my name is Victor Kiam"! Man, I'm glad that ownership was didn't last too long.

But as Patriot Fans all in all, I suppose Chuck Sullivan losing his shirt and ultimately the team after backing the Michael Jackson Magical Mystery tour was not such a bad thing after all. But we did go through some frustrating times back then.

Perhaps but when the players keep saying things like Mayo treats us like men first and football players seconds you have to wonder if that really comes down to feeling disposable.

I have zero room for a player with the thought process displayed in the comments by tavai.

It's dismissive, lacks awareness and perception and frankly is a losers mentality.

I hope that in addition to chanting "Fire Mayo" they add to the chant "and Tavai don't let the door hit you in your ass on the way out"! Or a simple but succinct "**** Tavai" might work as well.

I have as well and I don't see it the same as you. The context is in line with what he said.

He clearly thinks fans are not qualified to vocalize their displeasure with the product on the field.

You simply don't tell paying customers who have a right to boo and criticize to, "know their role" which is the same as, "Just shut up and watch the games".

I don't know if clarifying made it sound any better Rod. As a former season ticket holder when I lived up north, a seasonal purchaser of the NFL Sunday Ticket so I can follow the Patriots out of state and an overall die hard fan for over 50 years, I would like to know what exactly is my role Tavai? Am I supposed to just sit back and enjoy this team self destructing and not be able to voice my opinion? How do we let the team know what we think of their play?

Another thing that pisses me off is that last season, I foolishly purchased the Sunday Ticket again and even though I had a discount because I already had YouTube TV, what a waste of money that was and losing to the Jets at home on the last game of the season was a cherry on top.

So this season I bought the NFL+ so I could at least listen to the games. Well that was an experience because it's the first time I heard Patriot announcers say just how much this team sucked. So with 4 or 5 games left, I bought a discounted package from YTTV for about $160.00 so I could see Maye. Last Saturday was the culmination of a total cluster**** of a season. There is no way that this horrible play can be excused.

The bottom line is that if they keep the same leadership on this team next season there is no way I'll spend another ****ing dime on this team in any way shape or form until they are worthy of it.

He apologized to anyone he offended, but, "If they're fans, be fans. Be like, you know, support us. They've supported us throughout worse seasons, but don't be a critic."

Holy ****, this is almost as bad as what he said the first time. He is continuing to just say "Don't boo; only cheer. Support everything we do, always. Never ever criticize. Know your place!"

This is nothing new, and it is yet further evidence of Mayo's lousy job of managing the team. When Mayo talks about "ignoring the noise." who the hell do you think he's talking about? He's talking about the press and about the fans. My response is simple: GFY. That's for whole damned team, players to owners.

The only "culture" Mayo has established is a culture of whining and buck passing. If the Krafts don't fire him, I have been thinking, after 50+ years of following the team, that I might choose to ignore the team until they establish a .500-plus record. This has been five years or more of pure ********. If the Krafts don't care, why should we?
