Tavai: "Aren't you guys pumped up??!"Good analogy. I wonder what Tavai would make of a silent stadium after a win of big play?
I was one of Bill’s biggest critics but he excelled at avoiding BS like this coming from the mouths of players.Seems Tavai has a self-censoring mental impairment. Basically telling fans to sit down and shut up is out of line. Reminds me of The Rock lol.
This is the thing about Bill I miss the most. His policies of putting guardrails around what players should/should not say. He knew damn well some players are competent with the media and others lacking in the necessary sophistication and savvy to filter what they think. This saves neanderthals like Tavai from saying moronic things like this.
Mayo's policy of allowing players to have "voices" and enabling them to speak their minds isn't always in the organization's best interests- especially when you have unsophisticated players like Tavai calling out the fans.
This cannot make Kraft happy all. It's one thing for the team to suck. It's another for players to call out the fans for letting them know they suck.
At least Godchaux was measured and thoughtful in his comments about the booing/fire Mayo. I was ok with that.
This is on a different level. Idiot.
I'm going to need to see qualifications for this post....sirTavai: "Aren't you guys pumped up??!"
Fans: "Well, you see, sir, we're not actually qualified to grasp the minutiae of what has taken place on the field, so we are simply knowing our place by sitting here quietly and being seen but not heard. Thanks for being you!"
but some successful coaches have had similar rookie years.
BB also intervened when JJ and MP struggled. Mayo doesn't seem to be doing much to help Covington.I was one of Bill’s biggest critics but he excelled at avoiding BS like this coming from the mouths of players.
He controlled his team. Mayo has no control and they are undisciplined on and off the field
I would rather have Jordan Richards back. At least that bum didn't run his mouth.Calling out a mob is a pretty ridiculous thing to do and clearly just turns them on you.
Pretty dumb thing to do but I don't mind him attempting to get his teammates back or in this case his coaches back.
And he's one of the few guys on the team who is actually good enough to want back let's not give up on him because of this.
I paid for my seats already and there's a chance I get to see another pass from Maye like the ones we saw to Boutte or Pop so I'm going to go see it.The most impactful undertaking that the fans can accomplish on Sunday is not to boo - but rather, simply not show up.
That would include not giving or selling the tickets to somebody else (unless perhaps to Bills fans).
Doing so would provide the figuratively loudest statement possible.

If Maye said something similar would you want him cut too?I would rather have Jordan Richards back. At least that bum didn't run his mouth.
Is this the type of “team culture” we want to keep?
The relevant quote: "There's a reason they're fans. Everybody can say what they think we should be doing. They're not qualified to be doing what Mayo is doing or the Krafts are doing or whatever. They're fans. I appreciate them at times, but sometimes they just gotta know their place..."
I put my tickets up for sale for $60 each. I would be shocked anybody buys them. Nobody is going to that gameThe most impactful undertaking that the fans can accomplish on Sunday is not to boo - but rather, simply not show up.

Agreed.He's a piece.
He's not a difference maker by any stretch.
