I don't see that as a problem but rather a step towards a solution.Problem is hiring a new GM or football czar Mayo will be the first one out.
...Considering Krafts haven't issued any statement of support to Mayo and having maye on injury report means that Krafts will more likely dump the entire front office and coaching staff and go for the jugular like commanders. Wolf will DESERVEDLY be a casualty in this process .
What I mean is yes it’s a huge first step but Mayo will never get the benefit of working with a fully operational staff.I don't see that as a problem but rather a step towards a solution.
Agree but that doesn't explain the crap play on the field. Game plans. Not focused. Lack of adjustments. Mental errors, etc. What I mean is yes it’s a huge first step but Mayo will never get the benefit of working with a fully operational staff.
I don’t know if our staff is small due to money but the Rams or Niners have dozens more front office people.
The last game should not factor at all in any decision to dump/keep him. If so, we're screwed even if they fire Mayo. If they haven't had people working hard on a list of priority HC and GM candidates for the last few weeks, and working double overtime really studying said candidates, then it's all for nothing. It means we went from no hiring cycle last year to a half assed hiring cycle this year. It'd still be pointless. This needs to be a professional manhunt. There is nothing Mayo can do in the final game to make things better.
That’s not a problem, that’s a benefit.Problem is hiring a new GM or football czar Mayo will be the first one out.
It’s a problem for him he will never get the opportunity to work with someone that can build a program.Problem is hiring a new GM or football czar Mayo will be the first one out.
Ten of the Chiefs' wins have been by a touchdown or less. Five have been by a field goal or less. I figure that if Mayo were their coach, all five of the three point or less victories would have been losses along with a couple of the 5-to-7-point wins. So, my estimate is that the Chiefs, with Mayo as their head coach, would be eight and eight and fighting with the Broncos, Dolphins and Bengals for the last playoff spot.Agree but that doesn't explain the crap play on the field. Thats on Mayo.
If you made him HC of the Bills, Chiefs, Lions or Vikings what do you think their records would be?
If Mayo was their HC then that means Andy Reid (and his play calling/scheme) is not, so that probably puts them at 6 wins maxTen of the Chiefs' wins have been by a touchdown or less. If Mayo were their head coach, Covington would be the defensive coordinator, not Spagnuolo, and instead of allowing the second fewest points in the AFC, they'd be up in Patriots territory. Let's just say that if Mayo were the Chiefs head coach they might be in line for the first pick in the upcoming draft. If Mayo was their HC then that means Andy Reid (and his play calling/scheme) is not, so that probably puts them at 6 wins max
He’s still wearing the green dotHow did he ever wear the Green Dot?
I agreeI do NOT feel sorry for Mayo.
He schmoozed himself into a position that he was not remotely qualified for and put his own desires ahead of the wellbeing of the Pats organization, Pats players, and Pats fans.
He is the perpetrator, not the victim.
He deserves a boot out the door and nothing more.
Gosh I'm going to get flamed, but am I the only one who actually wants to see him for another year?
I've prob said it before but seeing what's going on in Detroit (3-13-1, fired OC, then started 1-6 finishing 9-8),I'd like to seeI'm amenable to seeing another year.
Nothing personal but yes he must go.Gosh I'm going to get flamed, but am I the only one who actually wants to see him for another year? Hate carousels.
