2025 Coaching rumors

It's not about football, it's about winning the back page.

Bringing Rexy back in would be a Charlie Sheen level of 'winning' for the Jete.
Couldn't happen to a more deserving (dis)organization.

And that toxic Jete stank, let's not forget that. You could say the stank is the result of their legacy of institutional failure but hey, it's the Jete so I see no reason not to pile on. Especially when you have an uniformed welching troll attempting to be the second coming of timmybrady15/mac12t/blowtime10 who's trying to equate a Pats team that is stumbling a bit with the definition of institutional failure that is the Jete.

Quoting the definition from the Jets Suck thread:

stank (pron. staynk): 1. a past of stink; 2. condition endemic to the New Jersey Jete, characterized by a mixed odor of burnt hair/used motor oil/rotting swamp flora accompanying feelings of despair and futility from on-field ineptitude.

In Jete parlance, "stank" has simultaneous literal and figurative applications. I guess it's somewhat similar to "curse" but perhaps less ambiguous in how/why it originated. Although, we also need to consider the associated matter of Namath's deal with Satan for Super Bowl III, ensuring subsequent Jete futility for at least the balance of his natural life. So, we have both the stank AND a curse from hell looming over that godforsaken franchise. This explains much of what's going on, including Fraudgers' epic fail.

Nothing like them.
More like them every day.

There are 2 threads on here. 1 is to fire the HC and the other is to can the GM. Although, firing the OC is always an option. The highlight of the season is a uniform tweak. Typically old skool. The draft and training camp are the high water mark. The ship begins taking on water in September and sinks by November. Brady is the new Joe Willie Namath. Watch for his sable fur coat now that snow is in the forecast.
They haven’t been to a Super Bowl in like 55 years or close to it. If anything we’d become the next Dallas Cowboys. A dynasty team that is unable to win the superbowl again for decades but that even is still unknown. We will never be the Jets.
Somehow the Cowboys are always relevant NFL talk. Not so with the Pats. The Pats have been replaced by the Chiefs.

Cool your Jets Gomer. The Jets have the most incompetent, delusional owner in the NFL.
Dont look now Fred, Kraft just hired a trio that will have his team picking # 1 in the 2025 draft.

Kraft was talking playoffs this season early on.

You habitually stick your foot so far down your mouth you could kick your own ass. Give it a rest.

And perhaps that would have been possible if Wolf chose to spend an additional $30M of 2024 cap money on a LT, WR and a LB, in addition to signing a LT instead of Okorafor and a defensive player instead of Polk.

We still would likely have had little chance at the playoffs. The $30M will do more for the franchise by signing additional players in 2025.

And you think that we would be much happier if we signed spent $30M and ended up with 6-8 wins and a draft pick out of the top ten.

We will better off if Wolf actually chooses to spend the $150M of 2025 cap money and have a top 4 draft choice (and a top choice in all the rounds).

Listening to NY sport-radio and some are speculating that Rex Ryan has a new NFL HC job.

Rumor is that he is going back to the NY Jets. Which makes a lot of sense in lieu of bringing in another unknown and unproven commodity at HC. The last time the Jets were in the post season was 2010.

Rex is on a national sport radio show and he was talking about Rodgers like "We are disappointed in the results and that Rodgers is not the same player as he was in GB"
I'd love to see Rex back in NYJ. He did take that team to 2 AFCCG with Sanchez at QB.

There's no use trying to make a comparison. What makes the Jete the Jete is their inherent institutional culture. It's unique. In fact, this season for New Jersey is one of the most Jete ever -- a bona fide playoff-caliber player roster with Hall of Fame quarterback, firing its head coach and GM en route to 3-9.

It's a pleasure to give this post the JOKER icon on his behalf.

The Pats are the new Jets.
The Patriots legacy is cemented as the most impressive 20 year run in NFL history.

This is the Jets legacy.

The Pats will never ever be the new Jets. There can be only one Jet.

The Broncos sign veteran a HOF QB in FA and win a superbowl. The Bucs sign a HOF QB in FA and win the superbowl.

The Jets trade for a HOF QB and fail to make the playoffs only to watch that HOF QB nearly make the superbowl the following season and have a near MVP season with another team.

They sign a HOF QB only to see him injured 4 snaps into his first season followed by the firing of the HC and GM mid-season the second season.

You can't make up that kind suckable. Its just destiny to what the Jets organization will always be.

I stated that the Pats are the new Jets.

Which is 100% true.

The new Pats are structured just like the Jets. The HC is separate from the GM and both sucking up to the Big Kahuna Thunder Kraft. Eventually, 1 will get the axe and all the blame for losing and no playoffs as Kraft desperately tries to remain relevant. The Jets talk about the past and live in the was. Just like the Pats now.

After the last loss, Pats players were laughing it up in the locker room. Evidently, Maye was upset with that attitude. The culture in Pats world has changed.

Doesn't your ass get sore from constantly having things pulled out of it?

Our HC did schedule a sit down interview with his friend in the local media to let everyone know he sucked this year but is going to be better next year. Hard to believe that interview happened without Thunder's approval. Tunes, it is weird stuff.

"We're catching a lot of flak from season ticket holders. We need to get in front of this. Get Mayo out there with Curran to shine him up and make him look good." - some Kraft, somewhere

"There's only so much I can do." - Curran

Seems someone forgot it wasn't marketing and PR that won SB's.
