With his big game yesterday, Hooper now has ten times as many receiving yards as Pharaoh Brown in Seattle. I know there was a lot of skepticism when the Patriots made that swap in the offseason.
I actually wanted Pharoah for his blocking and not his receiving ability. That was a flash in the pan, and he picked up a lot of his yards last year specifically because the defense ignored him given his prior receiving history. That said, he would have been a nice 3rd TE to go with Hunter and Hooper, doubly so with the OL problems we had.

I have not seen it mentioned, but I found it very impressive that the team was able to get 20+ yards downfield and get set to clock it for the FG. I went back and watched it and Boutte caught it at 11 seconds and handed it to the Ref at 8, they clocked it with 1 second left. That is a coaching point the has me cautiously optimistic for Mayo.
That might have been the most shocking aspect of yesterday’s game. I had no faith the operation could do that given how the season had gone to that point. And they caught the Bears offsides too! Great job by the players and coaches on that one.

I like how the Pats used the time left before the half to get a field goal. Was it the overtime game where the Pats abandoned the field before the half instead of trying to get a FG? They could have won that.
I think the explanation the announcers gave was right. Mayo didn't risk it last time because the other team had all of their timeouts. Suddenly, 60 yards for them is manageable if they have 3 TOs if they get the ball back.

That being said, I thought Mayo's strategy was poorly executed last time

Chicago surrounded Caleb Williams with some very good skill position Players. At WR alone he has D.J. Moore and Kennan Allen and Rookie Rome Odunze. Plus they have an excellent TE in Cole Kmet. That said the timing between him and Moore is off and they had all TC to figure it out. I would love for us to have D.J. Moore in a Trade if he wants out.

The ref threw his hat down which means Osborne stepped out of bounds so if he caught the ball, it would automatically be illegal touching. It would never be ruled a TD.
Osborn is just clueless for all the smoke he's blowing.

Best situation tonight is for the Rams to beat the spiraling Dolphins, get a big dose of overconfidence, look past us on a short week to the East coast while looking ahead to their Eagles game, and we get to trap the Rams with our own big win this Sun at home and leap to #2 in the division and get a chance to go on a 4-game win streak.

What I'm asking though is, what if he never stepped out of bounds on replay? That's reviewable. The entire play is reviewable.

A coaching purge needs to happen as soon as the season ends. Eberflus and co should’ve been fired last year. Their offseason is pretty straightforward: Hire an offensive minded HC and use FA and the draft to upgrade the OL. Waldren was a terrible hire for OC. JSN couldn’t find anything good to say about him in Seattle.

Ras cold brother cold: I hear JSN is still trying so say something.

Not going to lie thought they pulled the trigger on Fields a little early. They could have had a heck of a Haul if they had build the other way. With future picks they would have had a shot at getting a QB.

I just want to mention how ridiculous it sounds when Mayo refers to Kraft as ‘Thunder’. Like, Thunder. For a guy born in 1941. It’s both hilarious and sad.

Regarding AVP it took week 10 for him to draw up an outstanding play. That TD pass to Polk at the Goal line: don't know who's playbook he stole it from but hope he steals some more.
