I think two things can be true.

1. Bill was dreadful at drafting receivers
2. It didn't impact the team because they had an elite QB.
When you look at the he hit upon and compare them to the ones he missed on, you calculate that he was actually at the league average.

Mahomes and the Chiefs, actually, are doing a little better. Not a lot better. But a little.

Skyy Moore, Mecole Hardman, Jehu Chesson, Demarcus Robinson, Chris Conley, Devon Wylie, Jon Baldwin, Dex McCluster, Wil Franklin

9 Misses, 3 hits in Rice, Hill, and probably Worthy, though it's early.

Maye isn't necessarily impacting the game early in most of the games he's played. Aside from a 10-0 lead against Jax, he's off to slow starts each game.

Also, it's funny how Mac didn't get the same defense when the defense didn't get a punt in the playoffs against Buffalo or when they dropped 33 on them earlier in the year at NE. The Pats defense has been bad for years - especially against the better teams.

Things have gotten so dire, fans are getting desperate wanting anyone to be good for the Pats.
Maye was literally our entire Offense Today. We wasted $$$$$$ on Rham.

Maye's supporting cast sucks Pop Douglas is not having the Impact I thought he would. Pop now looks like an average Receiver.
Get a legitimate WR 1 on the outside, see how things will open up for Pop.

Yes and it's a fact. Mac also has a better winning percentage than the current stating QB in Jacksonville. Trevor only has 4 more wins than Mac with over 34 more additional games starting. That is pathetic!

Drake so far:

Got his ass kicked at home against a good Texans team.
He got his ass kicked against the 2-7 Jaguars.
Was losing when he left the game against the now 3-6 Jets where Brissett of all QB's got the win for him.
Lost against a now 2-6 Titans team.

Not sure what the problem is here. Mac got a ton of blame for a terrible team surrounding him, but Drake gets a pass? The only difference is for Maye is that the coaching is worse.

Your problem is you're not in accounting for the fact that the Patriots ****ing suck and no one was expecting them to win.

Blaming Drake who's the only one on offense who has showing any ounce of explosion is mind-boggling.

Mac is ridiculously bad. Gutless, scared, turtles when you breathe on him. Crybaby. Weak arm. At least Trevor Lawrence didn't fumble on his first play.

Belichick was the reason that team won 10 games, not Mac for heaven's sake. You're being ridiculous

The eyeball test says Maye is much better than Mac, not really a question really.

Mac Jones supporting cast was horrid as well.
Mac had Meyers - a healthy Bourne - Henry and Agholor sometimes... a far cry from the garbage we are running out there now.

Should've gone for 2 and the win
Yes. This! Crappy, tired defense or stud rookie QB. Mayo chooses the gassed defense. SMH

Titans' offense was averaging 17.1ppg, and that's what they got in regulation. That's a solid game for any defense. Time of Poss was 39min for TEN and 29min for NE. The latter needs to fix their running game among other things offense-wise.

No, I already knew that.
Blaming Drake who's the only one on offense who has showing any ounce of explosion is mind-boggling.
I'm not blaming him, just pointing out the hypocrisy on this board.
I'm trying to figure out if you're being serious
If you think Mac's supporting cast was good, I'd ask you the same question.

Mac still has a better winning percentage than him.

I don't ever recall Belichick as the first player/coach. They beat up on bad teams getting 7 of their 10 wins (one of them against Trevor Lawernce by the way).

He's on game four....

Was anyone calling for Mac Jones head on game 4?

DeMarcus Robinson slaying it for rams

Yes. Many posters including myself saw the red flags with him, but met with the usual resistance....like now.

If Belichick was the reason for 10 wins then he’s also the reason for 47-17. It was his defense that put up the worst playoff performance in the Super Bowl era. Jones had nothing to do with that.

Game 3 was that ugly Saints game where he cried on the bench. Not ideal for a franchise QB.
