For all the hate on Mac Jones, Drake Maye is still searching for his first win in 4 games and not one on a technicality.

Strangely enough, they were both 1-3 with a "win" against the Jets.

Maye really has to cut that turnover rate down but I'm confident he can be the guy if he has an actual decent team around him. Which isn't this team.

A criticism of Maye was that he tended to play “hero ball”, when he is trying to carry a bad offense.

We saw that today.

QB wins and loses can be deceiving. Anyone watching games would know Mac Jones was never as good as "his" 2021 record indicated. Drake Maye is certainly not as bad as the record indicates.

Too early to tell at this point, but it's clear Maye doesn't panic.

Yes and it's a fact. Mac also has a better winning percentage than the current stating QB in Jacksonville. Trevor only has 4 more wins than Mac with over 34 more additional games starting. That is pathetic!

Drake so far:

Got his ass kicked at home against a good Texans team.
He got his ass kicked against the 2-7 Jaguars.
Was losing when he left the game against the now 3-6 Jets where Brissett of all QB's got the win for him.
Lost against a now 2-6 Titans team.

Not sure what the problem is here. Mac got a ton of blame for a terrible team surrounding him, but Drake gets a pass? The only difference is for Maye is that the coaching is worse.

Drake Maye, Hunter Henry, Bourne, and Marcus Jones kept us competitive. Everything else wasn't good enough. Pathetic run blocking basically put the entire game on our rookie qb.

I don't like the play of any of our linebackers except the new guy #16 didn't look too bad. Our linebackers do not get off blocks well and flat out miss too often. Tavi makes a splash play here and there but he is also part of the problem. Mapu is one of the least aggressive defenders I've seen in a long time.

Worst play of the game imo was the lost fumble. I wanted to dropkick Hasty for failing to recovering it. He was right there.

Yeah but if we had Mac today I feel we probably would be shut out. We had absolutely no run game and Mac doesn't have pocket mobility etc. Maye with a semi good offense is clearly going to put points on the board.

Also, it's funny how Mac didn't get the same defense when the defense didn't get a punt in the playoffs against Buffalo or when they dropped 33 on them earlier in the year at NE. The Pats defense has been bad for years - especially against the better teams.

Things have gotten so dire, fans are getting desperate wanting anyone to be good for the Pats.
